Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The pilot of a weight shift microlight has been killed in a crash, near Gowran, County Kilkenny. The father of three was, according to witnesses, approaching to land at his own airstrip when he collided with power lines and crashed. The AAIU are investigating and the aircraft has been removed to Gormanstown for examination.

Latest news report mentioned a fly past and his daughters 18th birthday party at home.

Sounds like an accident when trying some sort of tribute.

May be rip. Must have been tough for his family to see the crash, if they did of course.

Would that be the grass runway you often see running alongside the railway line about 5-10mins after departing kilkenny on the dub bound train?
