Yes! DPD just left it at home, even tho I wasnt at home, during all that wet weather. Not very impressed. Got to collect a wet box the next day, but all ok inside. Its an amazing Google Pixel 2 watch alright, certainly the nicest bit of kit Ive ever had, present watch a simplier smartwatch. Cant wait to figure it out! First of all thank you to whoever put on the JD & Coke competition. I received a text on 5th June to say I was shortlisted for the prize and to send in my id by email which I did. They told me they would be choosing the winner last week. I was so excited to be contacted. Then nothing all week so I emailed on Tuesday this week and was informed that the winner had been already selected. I was so disappointed. What I was wondering is if this happens often? It seemed strange to go to the trouble of contacting me for my id, why not just pick a winner? My conspiracy theory is that it was my age was against me as I'm in my early 60's.

hard luck joanboot, that is a very disappointing experience. A friend and I had a similar experience last summer with Bulmers draw for a glamping and music experience in Clonmel. We both entered and both received word that we were 'in the final draw, plse pass on our ID' about 10days from the prize date.

I guessed the ID was for age too, but Ive no idea. Besides, my friend and I are 10yrs apart, so surely one of us would have fitted the prize! We had total silence after sending in our ID details. To be honest, neither of us even enquired because the prize day passed soon enough after, but I wasnt impressed with not so much as an email to quickly say we were not drawn in the end.

I hope this 'pre-draw' experience is not going to become a trend. It must be a nuisance for the prize-givers too, and clearly neither were able to let those who never won know. Anyone else had something similar happen to them?

sorry Joan boot that's annoying. It happened to me before too I was shortlisted and didn't win, it's a bit unfair really if you are lucky enough to be pulled out of the hat from all the entries you should get the prize

I'd love some inside info on how or why they shortlist from a text competition

no it's just luck to be honest. I've won a good few times over the years . Both national 2fm,Todayfm,Classic Hits and also local ones. No knack just entered and been called. With Today fm they always say you are down to the last few and the presenter will be picking live, but I've always been the winner so I'm guessing they just say that to keep you excited. I'd say it has been about 2 years since I've won on any of them lately. Last prize was an over night hotel break. Keep at it and hopefully you will get Picked soon.

won some Peroni "merch", thanks to whoever posted. One of the texting competitions, 50400 I think. Can't wait to see what the "merch" includes (he insisted on calling it that) hopefully one or two of their very nice pint glasses.

I won a bottle of fanta on the coke app but haven't claimed it yet. Mostly because you've to click thru a few bits to redeem it and have an hour from redeeming to get it but i don't know nwhich one it is. 500ml i think. Bet you're all jealous of the big win😂

My only other prize in forever is a weetabix football but it hasn't arrived yet. Is it Nike, Mitre etc or actually weetabix branded?

It Is weetabix branded, gets delivered by An Post. Mine came 2 weeks ago. I won on May 31st.
