The middle jam section of No Quarter by Led Zeppelin always reminds me of the early seventies Pink Floyd especially with John Paul Jones playing the Hammond organ, it could almost be the jam sequence in Shine On pt 2.

very good facsimile of the early Beatles sound (though the guitars are a bit more garage-rock). By the time this came out in 1966 the Beatles themselves had moved onto a different sound.

I think I read somebody say on an older thread on here that they thought this was a Hudson Taylor song.

HT do have a song called "Cinematic Lifestyle" so maybe that poster got these two songs mixed up.

What Do You Want from Me by Monaco. When I first heard it, I wondered was it New Order. To be fair, one half of the group was bassist Peter Hook who was the long standing bassist with New Order at the time. Ironically, it was actually Peter on lead vocals, who was not the lead vocalist for New Order!

I don't think it was Hooky on vocals, he had hired a Bernard Sumner soundalike for Monaco. Hook's high basslines (and low-slung bass) were an integral part of New Order's sound so it's not surprising it sounded similar.

The other guy is David Potts who does sing the high notes. However, the lead vocals on the verses are indeed by Peter. He has a deeper voice that covers the lower notes.
