    I could get a new shiny 8ft here but like other posters it does not make economic sense on so many levels. Factor in your time, breakdowns and it sitting in the shed for 50 weeks of the year.

    The contractor is much faster, upto do date gear and a conditioner on board for 25e per acre. That's alot of 25s into c9k. He never refused me yet when it came to mowing. I do the tedding alright it's nice to be in control of turning the crop at my stated time of the day.

    Its cost about 8/acre to Tedd two runs of a tedder will go along way in getting a lad with a conditioner to cut it

    One run of tedd enough IMO if weather anyways ok
