Simon Cowell previously revealed plans to swap this year's regular series of the singing contest in favour of two spin-offs.

It would be nice to see many of those contestants from the past again. I think, though, that coming back and competing against each other would put a lot of pressure on some of them. You could see in AGT - the Champions, in which Simon Cowell was a Judge, that some of the returning competitors were very nervous about competing with other winners.

I like Kevin McHale. He had his own comedy hosting job on some channel 4 show a few years back. It was a good show and he was a natural host. Hope people won’t hold being a singer on glee against him.

I'm so over the civilian X Factor but enjoyed that. Loved Martin and Jenny. The rest were forgettable.

I definitely enjoyed that a lot more than I thought I would.

It probably works that most of the celebs are pretty obscure. They all have a bit of personality while being seemingly serious about doing well.

I guess there won't be any six chair challenge crap this year!

I actually enjoyed that.I see Martin going through.Jenny was good,but she be better when she realises theres more notes out there

Enjoyed last nigts show. My two favourites were Martin Bashir and Try Hard. I was looking forward to Jenny Ryan performing because iv never heard her sing before but now that i have i dont think im a fan. Will still be interesting to see how far she goes though. Roll on next week and hopefully Megan will go through because i think she has a nice voice.

I thought last night's show for the most part was "awkward". No noteworthy celebrities

The 2 acts that get my vote, from a performance point of view, are Jenny Ryan and Try Star

Cole was alright on his own.
Jenny Ryan is bit meh
Hayley Hasslehoff is not as good as she thinks she is

Trystar where good
Kevin McHale needs a good dose of the X Factor,hes seriously lacking in charisma

The love islanders where alright bit of practise and get rid of the tone deaf girl they might be good
Max and Harvey are a shoe in.But they remind me too much of Conor and Sean Price

That actually sums up my feelings on the episode completely. I enjoyed it and the format.

They really don't care about this show anymore do they?

Continuity issues all over the place, folk appearing and disappearing in the background, Simon's jumper appearing and disappearing too.

Dom Joly didn't do too bad alongside Brendan Cole though.

Jeremy was the heartthrob of Hollyoaks and Holby City, I don't think anymore :P he seemed genuinely annoyed that the judges thought he was bad and were mean to him
