It’s implied in the ‘don’t post in thread’ option, I believe?

It won't be one person, the throne will be destroyed/put under the city with the dragon skulls and a council led by Varys and Tyrion will rule in Kings Landing with allies placed throughout the realm with the people as the No.1 priority

    Cersei - Dead
Jaime - Dead/may survive and join back up with Brienne
    Euron - Dead
    Dany - Dead
Jon - Dead or goes North
Sansa - will control the North
    Brienne - with Sansa
The Hound - will be left to die by Arya after killing his brother. She'll ride off on her own.
    Greyworm - Dead
Davos - Alive and advising someone, actually could have a role back in King's Landing since he came from the streets and who better to have an advising role on the council.

I'd agree, although I think the Hound and The Mountain will kill each other, cant see that ending any other way

Yeah I might have worded it poorly. The Hound to kill his brother but be mortally wounded and ride out of the City. Arya comes across him later on and leaves him to die to again.

Nobody. 7 Kingdoms to be carved into separate independent states, with a "world council" put in place to ensure peace.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,413 ✭✭✭✭flazio

    Gendry
I too think there will be no Iron Throne or one leader of all 7 kingdoms.

    This too shall pass.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,576 ✭✭✭Paddy Cow

The 7 kingdoms break up and each rules their own, like before the Targaryen's forced them all to bend the knee.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 605 ✭✭✭upupup

The Hound sits on the Throne with Ayra as his hand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 839 ✭✭✭False Prophet

Same as others, iron throne will be destroyed.
Council of 7 to keep the peace maybe varseys as figure head as cant have heirs and someone that cares for the people.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,961 ✭✭✭LionelNashe

    Varys
Tyrion, I reckon, because he has ruled successfully in Kings Landing, and been Master of Coin, and was doing OK in Mereen until the Junkai masters turned up and started wrecking the place. And, he did a bang-up job with the sewers in Casterly Rock. Maybe Varys to be his hand, because he'd be well qualified, they work well together, and I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head.

They should give it to the Starbucks cup at this stage.

I think this 100%. Omly difference for my pick would be Ayra will stay with the hound while he dies this time and then she'll ride off.

I also believe there will be no iron throne. Danny will die and John "not wanting to rule" will ride north. The seven kingdoms will split and govern themselves.

I will actually be sick if there is a star wars the new hope type ending with everyone smiling in the throne room with something like Jon and Danny getting married.

I expect Bran to sit on the Throne and to modify it with a shiny set of wheels, with the Mountain pushing him around the place.

At least that's what I'd like to happen, just to see how far people will go to defend the writing.

Bran was the favourite with the bookies and is still second favourite after Jon. I don't know how that would work, but he should be an option in the poll.

    My thought is Tyrion ,

    Cersei - Dead
    Jaime - Dead
    Euron - Dead
    Dany - Dead
    Jon - Dead
Sansa - will control the North
    Brienne - with Sansa

Davos - Alive and advising Sansa

I've always thought it would be Sansa with either Littlefinger or Varys as her hand (That they would have thought her an easy touch in error. So very much under her thumb - No pun intended).

I still think it'll be Sansa. Don't know who her Hand will be as I believe Tyrion is gonna die. (Of the remaining cast south of The Wall only Arya and Sansa will survive but Arya will just walk into off into the snow).

Bran doesn't even want to be Lord of Winterfell so anyone betting on him being King of the 7 Kindgoms is wasting their money.

I think she is going to get killed by the Mountain going after Cersei and the Hound finishes the Mountain, with Jamie finishing Cersei. Arya doesn't want to be a Lady or a faceless man. Besides finishing her list she doesn't really have a purpose.

    Gendry
    Aegon Targaryen.

Dany will JUST check her so called worst impulses. But it will cost her her life. Jon eventually claims it in her honour.

What he does with it is another question. Keep it or disband it or lessen its centralised power. No idea. Varys can assist him here.

Not wanting to rule was one of Tyrion's, Varys' and Douglas Adam's criteria for a desirable ruler.

Someone who wants to rule usually wants power and is unburdened by the sense of responsibility.

    I wouldn't bet against Bran.

    Daario Naharis.

He has more experience of leading than any of them at this stage and deserves Westeros more than the current crop of bumbling fools.

I wouldn't rule out Bran as a figurehead with Sansa / Tyrion / Samwell forming a Small Council that actually does the ruling behind him.

Rescued by Dany when in the north facing the White Walkers.
Rescued by Sansa in the battle of the bastards.
Rescued by Arya in the battle of Winterfell.
Rescued by Mellisandre when he was killed.
Rescued by Ygrette when he was among the wildlings.

I get what you're saying but there is a difference between someone who is a reluctant ruler who makes a good one eg Tyrion becoming hand and actually being good at it or Jon Snow being convinced to become Lord Commander, and someone who has zero interest in it ala Bran. Bran is almost robotic at this stage and the only thing he embraces is his role as the Three Eyed Raven. He would not be a good ruler.

Tyrion and Varys might like a such a disinterested figurehead who would leave governance to them or others such as Sansa.

You forgot he was rescued by Benjen when he fell in the water and it was Ghost who warned him of the wights in the Lord Commanders quarters.

I'm sure they'd love that but it would go against Bran's identity now to agree to it in the first place.

    Iron throne will be destroyed.

Otherwise I believe Tyrion will claim the Iron Throne.

    Jaime
I hope Tyrion dies at this stage tbh.

Dany/Jon both die, so Drogon as Danys child will get the throne :p

I expect Sansa to be involved in some sort of council rather than a throne.
