I’m trying to book tickets on Irish Rail website. I keep getting a not secure warning. The https site doesn’t seem to load either.

Still ok to go and book or is there an issue?

Yes, it looks ok to me.

When you first plan the journey, etc. it isn't secure, but once you go to book, it redirects you to a secure https page, where you enter booking details, credit card, etc. So that should be ok.

I agree though that it does look poor and it is a bit amateurish. The entire Irish Rail site should be under https now given the warnings modern browsers are giving about unsecure connections. There really isn't much of a performance hit of https like there use to be in the past.

This is occurring because major browser vendors like Chrome are warning if it is not https by default now. They have flagged that they will do this for a long time. IE's' IT department should have made this change a long time ago.

PS - hit them up on twitter and tell them, otherwise they will never fix it.

They are aware of this and a change is planned.
