Whatever Tyner runs in the bumper

As a Klassical Dream backer at Cheltenham I certainly wont be touching him at odds on. I've always said Aramon has a big one in him but probably needs good ground to show his best, and he'll have that tomorrow.

HOWEVER - Quick Grabim was Mullins' Supreme horse prior to injury and the fact he's running him and not leaving him in a field until next year tells me he must be working well enough, so I might take chance. He's 9s atm - i'll hold fire and see if there's any confidence behind him. If he start drifting I'll back Aramon.

    Should Min be 1/4 tomorrow??

Ill be all over aramon here. There is nothing between him and fav on decent ground. The race got away from him at Aintree and that wont happen again.

I was thinking the same until I saw the jockey bookings, Quick Grabim beat Aramon easily lto so I think I'll chance him at the prices.

Quick Grabim gave Aramon 7lbs when beaten 4 and half lengths and won by 7 lengths off level weights but hasn't been seen since.
Would you give him a chance?

Aramon out to 10s and Quick Grabim in a point to 8. QG the bet. Not sure Klassical Dream wants ground this quick either.

Another I like is Konitho I thought he might run in Cheltenham or Aintree but didn't gets a nice weight being a 4 year old, it had a couple of horses that have won since behind it when it won its maiden in Nass.

Due to rain most of the day at Punchestown tomorrow, will make the ground testing

I fancy Getabird as the NAP tomorrow. Had hard-line beat and well beat in Limerick only making a balls at the last. Snapped it AP at 8s last week.

I've also went with Youcantbeserious in the first.

Sincta simona in the 4:55 I think Mark Walsh is on fire lately and will take some beating.

Bulldoze in the number but I think Hendersons horse is the real danger. Might have a few quid on that in the morning.

In the 4:20 will have a punt on Felix Djesy had a great win at Aintree. Classical dream was one of the few wins at Cheltenham but couldn't even look at it at the prices. Again I think Hendersons horse could be a danger here too.

Promising to be a good week. It's a shocking pity the English lads lost interest. I remember the big English horses coming over in years past. Hopefully we will get them days back again.

Was chatting to a fella in the bookies earlier and he was saying if the Punchestown Championship races and Irish Championship races where combined with a nice bonus for winning both it would attract them back.... Jaysus it would be great to see the likes of Altior this week

    Youcannotbeserious my only bet tomorrow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,559 ✭✭✭cruais

    Like a Demon
    Sancta Simona
    Champagne Diva
    A Plus Yard

    Small EW Lucky 15

Also put small EW on Ordinary World purely because Blackmore is so talented and it's a complete outsider at 66

Cedarwood Road is quite interesting also

Probably just viewing for me today, not standing out to me hugely but will have a dabble at Aramon ew.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 526 ✭✭✭irish_major

12/1 is too short for aramon. Best of luck to those playing but I'd be a layer at that price.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,625 ✭✭✭RivetingRoger

    Small treble on
    Klassical Dream
    Min
    A Plus Tard

Be a nice start to the week

I thought Klassical Dream was surpisingly big at 8/11 the other day- I really think he's the second coming.
Aramon surely over the top at this stage? Don't really sees how he overturns the form with KD.

Not much doing in terms of betting today for me.
Mitchouka worth a small bet at 40s- actually ran ok for a long way at Fairyhouse. New headgear might help and has not too distant form that makes a mockery of his mark.
Also anticipating an Ordinary World w/o Min special from Aido so have had a small bet. UDS ran well in the Ryanair but barring him there's no major gulf between Ordinary World and the rest.

Can't wait for the 3 miler.

Am about to loose my S***e altogether at 12/1 without min and UDS. or 33/1 EW w/o min.. Deciding

It looks like that belt of rain is going to skip the mountains and stay on the coast. If anyone around Naas or Blessington is any the wiser please shout out.

I just blew a whole fiver on Ordinary World at 66/1. Given that it now costs six quid for a pint of Guinness in the city centre, I reckon I am simply buying money here. Ludicrous price.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 9,078 ✭✭✭IAMAMORON

Aramon is now 12/1 in places. given that only 3 fav's have won that race in the last 10 years ( 4/6, 1/2 , 1/6 ) I know what I am backing. Quick Grabim probably wins it anyway, someone has backed it, it is only 5/1.

    4.20 - Aramon - at the prices
4.55 - Jan Maat - Rachel Blackmore jumps on here in favour of Rayatime. I saw Raya time in Clonmel the last day, very one paced- looks a three mile chaser to me.
6.40 A Plus Tard and Discorama - Up Wexford , Up the Purple n Gold
7.15 Up Jamie Codd . Zambezi Fix

Derek Double in the first and last races is tempting me....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,068 ✭✭✭TheMilkyPirate

Wouldn't back Aramon with stolen money. Klassical dream the obvious one and can't see him beat. 4/6

Farceur de large was pulled from a race yesterday supposedly in favor of this one and he has been well supported again today. He'll do for me. 11/4

Youcannotbeserious I've already mentioned. His biggest danger seems to be his stablemate and with DOC jumping ship to this lad I'll take the hint. 5/4 (Took 2s last night)

Sancta Simona and Quick Grabim for me today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,137 ✭✭✭gazza1

    4.55 Buildmeupbuttercup 8/1 ew

Only ran 9 days ago but for me was just out for the run being held up at the back throughout and only making progress as horses in front got tired but did finish ahead of Sancta Simona although it was over 4f further than today's trip.
On a previous win at navan when he had Dancing on my Own (rated 140) 1/2L 2nd and Eclair de Beaufeu (rated 135) 3 1/2L back in third he should have every chance off 128 for h'cap debut today. He was getting 7lbs from both horses that day but still looks like a decent ew bet to me.

Others I've had a nibble on are

    Quick Grabim
    A Plus Tard

Just one main bet for me today & that’s UDS, few €1 accumulators to go with it, keeping the powder dry for the day out Saturday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,625 ✭✭✭RivetingRoger

2 years back Min was the new Vautour......
Bad tactics, bad days and running into the greatest 2m chaser we have ever seen have stifled that promise
However, his run at aintree was hugely impressive and VERY Vautour-esque

Hope it hoses up today and rubberstamps that performance.
Hope Ruby goes to the front early, takes the rail and lets it go.

And I say this as a paid up life member of the "i f**king love UDS" fan club!!

The groundsmen just on RTE there, only a couple of millilitres over night. Ground is riding good.

Seriously impressive from Klassical Dream there - it routed the field.

    not in his league

Think the betting showed how far ahead they thought the winner was of his two stablemates. QG from 7 to 11 on exchanges before start and Aramon at 12 or 13.

He is definitely decent, but given that a few of those went to Aintree and had a hard race I would thread carefully about declaring him the second coming just yet, but he literally could be anything at the same time. They were all well strung out at the finish. Hopefully he summers well, he is certainly a good one.
