Hope this happens. Last time was such a hoot, with our best and brightest sending out such a positive image as they grovelled in front of the Master.

I prefer the grovelling when Boris Yeltsin "visited".

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Do you fancy heading there for a golf weekend while he's over?

Good old Boris, a wonder he didn't decide to fly the plane himself.

Fantastic. Cannot wait to see all those Irish eejits coming down to Clare to protest about Trump despite him not having done anything bad to our country.

What if they don't want to protest, but still go down?

Good stuff. An opportunity for the beauty of the west coast to be put on display. Hopefully the weather is good and president trump has a nice round of golf.

He's not a war criminal as yet anyway. Kids in cages is probably his worst achievement.

The world is probably tired of the guy in fairness.
Suffering from pre dementia by all accounts.

    Gather the troops.

He is not welcome, get protesting.

I don't like Trump, and I think he's a political goon, but in general terms an American President should always be afforded an official welcome in Ireland. They are too critical a friend to spit in their face. The best thing that can be said about Trump is that he hasn't (yet) tied up America in a stupid war. Obama / Clinton etc got obsequious welcomes here from the public despite presiding over messy and ill-advised military engagements.

Having said that, we're a democracy and people are entitled to air their opinions - protestors should have at it if they feel strongly about him.

He's done a lot for the american people, fighting against the globalist agenda of exploitation.

Not a fan of him but some right nonsense gets made up in relation to him - that he's like a dictator (yeah because his critics are all being jailed), that The Handmaid's Tale is like Trump's America, etc. People who make such claims should actually learn about the world outside the West.

And the more I learn about Bill Clinton, the more dodgy I find him.

Trump hate is a big money maker. Have a look at how many dodgy books are for sale that basically equate to a big anti trump hatein.

Somebody should create a safe space for people in Clare to protect them from Trump during his visit. They should also charge for it.

Brilliant idea. We can hand out copies of the guardian for them to wipe their noses with.

Hopefully the Guards will give those protesting Marxists a good old fashioned hammering, drag them by the dreadlocks and set a few Alsations at them.

Do you imagine doing those things while wearing a very tight fitting leather or rubber/pvc uniform?

Judging by people on other areas of boards a rabid obsession of this man is very much alive and well. Does seem to be quietening down quite a bit as of late on MSM

As people were quite rightly quick to welcome him and praise the visit of Obama back in 2011, I'm delighted to see President Trump is going to be popping over. Hopefully he gets the same warm welcome, has a great visit and enjoys a good round on the golf course.
