I can't really believe what's happened over the past two weeks with Ulster, was this expected at all?

The yellow jersey won't last too long.

Larochelle are on the plane home already.

Whats not helping is people like rory best pulling his punches here and talking positives.

Some serious questions need to be asked about the leadership of this group.

Mcloskey is going to do something awfull stupid if he doesnt reel it in here

He had a little kick at the LAR try scorer there?

Even La Rochelle look astonished at how bad Ulster are.

Its a good thing this is behind closed doors as if Ulster fans travelled to watch this crap Ulster should be refunding every one of them just out of common decency.

I am stunned how poor Ulster are, it looks like no real leaders in the team, they looked lost. Jesus they have a good squad, there most be something more in the background. As a connacht fan I hope the sort this out just after Christmas

Game on here. Still half the yellow period left to go.

Don't think I'd have given the penalty there.

Ulster need to play flatter and hold onto the ball, they're not getting the territory return from kicking.

In fairness some nice handling from Ulster in the last 10 mins, LA looked fassed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 344 ✭✭Strand1970

    Gassed

That's great work to get the LBP there given where they were. Really good stuff.

Ulster coming out of this with 2 points (TBP and LBP) is a great achievement from the second half.

I guess credit has to go to whoever was doing the half time team talk.

Credit where it due that was a pretty extraordinary fight back, getting 2 points potentially keeps them in the hunt of maybe scrapping 7th or 8th in the pool. If Ulster played even half as well in the 1H like they did in the 2nd they might have won.

Excellent from Ulster in the second half, 2 scrum half's played well together

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,526 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Fantastic to get a second BP given how the first half went.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,896 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

Thats not a fightback, thats larochelle taking it handy and doing just enough to still win comfortably.

    Great fightback.

Lots of questions still to be asked and LaRochelle might have switched off after they got their 3rd try.

Hadn't realised Dillane was in LaR - good for him.

Doak at 10 has to be a serious consideration now for Ulster. Was a huge part of that fight back.

Yeah two big points. 5 points from remaining two games might still sneak them in. I think the game against Leinster really really spooked them, maybe they will step forward now again.

Whens Burns out of contract? Will he be kept on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,819 ✭✭✭Dubinusa

My sentiment too about Doak. Could be a good out half.

From LaR point of view, I'd say ROG is raging that they turned odd before getting 4th try.

They went into their shell after the Dante yellow so not sure switching off is the right term, Ulster galvanised well.

We did well in the second half but any praise has to be tempered by the fact that the game was already lost, and La Rochelle took their foot off the gas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

I'd say he is delighted. They won and he has plenty to point out what they did wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,064 ✭✭✭✭bilston

So then La Rochelle were amazing in the first half rather than Ulster being shyte?

You can't have it both ways

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,064 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Whatever about that, it should be a springboard for an improved upturn in form

ROG looked thoroughly pissed off at the end. Wether that’s because he is banned or that LAR collapsed is anyone’s guess.

Ulster at least might be able to build some momentum off that second half performance.
