Yeah covid has had little to no impact (yet!) in the data side of things either, if anything companies are looking for contractors to fill in for permanent people they laid off due to cutbacks since march - get people in for 3-6mths to keep ticking over and til they can figure out the lay of the land.
Recruiters seem to have taken a hit though, a lot of the smaller ones around dublin have laid a load off, some have continued on trying to scout people independently, others that are kept are getting desperate. This has resulted in more emails than usual from people who haven't a clue about tech and/or are spamming everyone in vain hope, having scanned a job description and a CV and seeing that their are matches - usually only 'the','and','to' etc.....
