Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    As mentioned, insuranse is usally the biggest influence on what your first car can be.
    Have you got any quotes for some of the models you are looking at?

    Buy the wrong car and you will need all of your 7 grand budget for just insurance.

    Generally insurance is in around the €1600 to €1850 range for anything between 1.4 - 1.6 for me (20 years old, full license with 3 years driver experience). I have the insurance well researched at this stage and can't really afford to go over anything 1.6 diesel

    3 years experience is not the same as no claims bonus, some insurance companies wont even acknowledge named driver as valid towards cheaper quotes. Just make sure you get quotes on the car you plan to buy before paying to be safe.
