Interested in swinging...no idea how to get started

Hi There,

I'm sure it's been asked a million times before but struggling to find any recent threads.

I'm a 31 year, single female and am interested in exploring swinging but haven't a clue how to find parties or get involved.

A friend recommended Killing Kittens but also said that the most recent party they went to was over 100 people. As I'm completely new to this I am hoping for something a little smaller than that.

If there are any swingers out there that are comfortable in sharing advice or insight with me I'd be really grateful. I appreciate that perhaps people won't want to give detail on discreet meet-ups or events so you are welcome to private message me if that works for you.

If you want to start swinging, get yourself a good set of swings, you don't want a plastic seat of rope inserts, chains and a good solid rubber based seat of a decent width.
Always use a concrete foundation with the ground pegs to secure the swing into place.

At my girlfriends birthday party in London a few years back I met the crowd who got KK off the ground, and met the girl leading their new 'Curious kittens' thing. The latter is apparently a bit tamer. The missus was threaders that I spent so much time chatting to her that night, to be fair if she was standard fayre for the type who would turn up at those parties I'd consider the men partaking lucky fellas! Not for me (or us) but each to their own. The English seem rather into the whole swinging thing in general, what with dogging and the like.

Before she commits to the full swing, though, don't you think she should dip her toe in gently? The local playground, for example. Test to see how she likes it, it might not be all she thinks its cracked up to be. Young fellas hanging around gawping and spitting, uncomfortable seats, chains that need oiling. Or to be more risque, car tyre swings that kids have put up over steep ravines. Thrilling to be sure , but dangerous :cool:, more private however , no insurance though :eek: , but she will probably know if she really likes swinging after a few proper tries.

I think we have all had to go through this tricky to and fro with swings.

I understand that as a single female it's easier to get into the scene than as a single male. I'm not sure if I should be trying to be helpful on an AH thread, especially with as little as I know about the topic, but here goes :

It's like any sort of online dating really - you'll find niche sites dedicated to it, and corners of more mainstream dating and classified sites with ads too. If you're trying to dip your toe in, try to find a couple or small group near you and meet them somewhere public and socialise first. If you get a bad vibe you can always walk away.

Also, I'm sure lots of them are lovely, but the average swinger may not be as attractive as you may be hoping.

I happen to know people involved in the “swinging” scene and I have to say if I turned up to one of these “parties” with my partner and saw the two of them sitting there with their tits resting on their bellies I’d feel significantly short changed.

Be very careful with what you’re getting yourself in for. For all the talk of the tall leggy blonde or tall dark and handsome, and well hung, man you would be trawling through the old, fat and ugly on both sides of the gender divide.

Then there’s the times when you might start off with someone you find attractive but soon find out it’s some puffy faced bank manager slamming his “ickle pickle” inside of you from behind.
