Android box paired with a universal remote

    Hi all
    Has anyone managed to get their universal remote paired with an android box? I’m looking to buy a universal remote that’ll control my Sony tv Sony soundbar and minix android box?
    Any recommendations, help?

    Buy a Logitech harmony and you can program it to all your devices.

    One other question, I’ve a sony ht-ct290 soundbar and a Sony Bravia kdl49we753 tv. I have the two of them connected via hdmi. The hdmi lead from the soundbar is inserted into hdmi 2 and the hdmi lead from my minix android box is in hdmi 1 (arc).
    I have lost the remote control for the soundbar so I can’t turn the soundbar on. The soundbar will not turn on automatically and I’ve tried to sync the bar to the Telly remote, but it won’t detect the bar as it’s not turned on.
    Any ideas?

    Get a Harmony, you'll be able to control it then. One thing the Harmony setup says is to disable HDMI CEC on all your devices as it gets in the way with the Harmony

    You should have the sound bar on HDMI arc btw, then you connect your Android box to the soundbar (assuming it has hdmi in)
