What do you suggest the electorate do when they are not happy with any of the political parties?
Who do you want them to vote for then?

Educate yourself about the real issues actually tackled in the body they wish to be elected to. Ask actual real and relevant questions and commitments of candidates. Vote for new or the least worst candidates . . . don't continually vote for candidates who tell lies and fail to deliver anything. . . it's hardly rocket science. It should be taught in the schools how to properly hold politicians to account . . but rest assured it won't be.

So no liars and nobody with a history of failure leaves you with SF and independents not including those who have ran before which leaves you with new independents so Casey gets the no.1 vote.

Whatever floats your boat, I don't care who you personally vote for, but the definition of madness is voting for the same people and expecting a different result.

Or indeed the curious Irish half wit habit of voting for who you think will win, instead of who you'd like to see elected for a change.

I've met many's a voter who admits to doing this.

I'm not in disagreement with you. I'm just pointing out exactly what you just said but understanding the reasons behind it for many voters.

Also father's should have a say in the future of their child

Yes they should, from the point said child is no longer inside the woman.

Abortions only in very rare cases, rape and FFA,
Abortion shouldn't be used as s form of birth control life is more important than that

Birth control as in ending an unwanted pregnancy? How else should abortion be used?

Birth control as in contraception? Abortion by definition can't be used as a contraceptive.!

So a baby inside a womb has no father?

If only there were threads dedicated to discussing abortion.....

I think it's obvious that the media, and Rte in particular, don't want to see Casey do well.

The main news decided to do a piece on his latest comments. We will see more for sure as the weeks go by.

    It's not the father's womb.

The nature of these elections will see it very difficult for him to get any attention. The incoherent rants will definitely ramp up.

I will put the money I made on the 'immigration rant' on it. He has to run a 'look at me, look at me' campaign again.

You said I likened the president to a monkey, which was a lie on your behalf. So tell me do you think being a liar gives your comments more or less credibility?

Hi Francie you lied about something I said earlier any chance you could address it. I did ask you earlier to do so but you disappeared so can you address it now since you're back.

Why is it impossible for posters to read the f*cking thread?

Thing is though ordinary people can see through RTE's agenda, and their attempts at smearing and misrepresenting Casey, as they did over the Traveler issue, will, as before, actually make him more popular.

I did. And I am done with it. You likened the job of President to that which a monkey could do.

That is a disparaging remark, whosoever is President, same as referencing somebody's sexuality or something they did in their life.

You claimed I likened the president to a monkey when that's not what I said. Showing yourself to be a liar Francie same as another poster here.

You likened the work of all presidents to one that could be done by a monkey.

I think I can be allowed some latitude to interpret that statement given that the same poster also thinks being gay is something a candidate should be ashamed of or is a negative about them or is even relevant to her candidacy.

I didn't, I was responding to another poster who said the president can do nothing. My suggestion was a monkey could fulfill the role at a lesser cost. You jumped in with you two feet making up something I never said Lies Francie. I'll leave it at that , happy in the knowledge that you are now a confirmed liar.

Never suggested Maria should be ashamed of being Gay more lies Francie. Simply pointed out she is openly gay and a former ROT winner this was in response to a poster asking what qualifies a candidate to run I suggested these attributes tick some boxes. Stop lying Francie destroys what little credibility you think you have.

Why did you couple it with another disparaging remark about her then. What relevance has it. We can only interpret what you write.

What was disparaging Francie? Remember your opinion is not fact as you know. Whose we , only you have lied about my reference to Maria.

So repeatedly defining her as the 'winner of the lovely girl contest' isn't meant to be disparaging?

Okay...moving swiftly away from this. The level of self awareness isn't what it ought to be.

    Nite Plumb.

out of interest apart from the ROT and her constant public announcements about her sexuality what are her qualifications for MEP ?

Francie I have only mentioned the ROT today .I addressed my use of that description 'lovely girl contest' before as I find the competition outdated and demeaning to women. Anyway I'll leave it at that. You should stop telling lies though Francie doesn't help you and makes it easier for others to view you as devoid of any credibility.
