Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Here's everything that's happened in Q1 2019

    N2 Ashbourne-Kilmoon Cross: Consultants to be appointed shortly to progress Phases 1-4
    N2 Clontibret-NI border: Phase 1 now underway by Jacobs
    N2 Ardee-Castleblayney: Phase 1 now underway by Jacobs
    M4 Maynooth-Leixlip: Consultants to be appointed by May to progress Phases 1-4
    N4 Collooney-Castlebaldwin: Construction started in February, with completion in 2021.
    N5 Ballaghaderreen-Scramoge: Approved by An Bord Pleanala in January, with CPO published in March by Roscommon County Council. Archaelogical work to start shortly.
    M7 Naas/Newbridge bypass upgrade: Completion of the widening works between J9 and J11 Is expected in the next month, with J9a to open in May. The R407 Sallins bypass will open in September
    N8/N25/N40 Dunkettle Interchange: Advance works continue on site, with full works to start in summer 2019. Completion is expected in summer 2022.
    M11/N11 J4-J14 upgrade: A project timeline has now been published with options to be published in July and submission to An Bord Pleanala in Q4 2020.
    M11 Gorey-Enniscorthy: It has been confirmed this will open in Q3 2019
    N11/N25 Oilgate-Rosslare Harbour: Consultants to be appointed shortly for Phases 1-4
    N13/N56 Letterkenny relief road: Emerging preferred route was published in February with selection of preferred route in Q2 2019.
    N14 Letterkenny-Lifford:Emerging preferred route was published in February with selection of preferred route in Q2 2019.
    N15/N13 Ballybofey/Stranorlar bypass: Emerging preferred route was published in February with selection of preferred route in Q2 2019.
    M20 Cork-Limerick: Consultants appointed for TII PMG Phases 1-4 in March. There has been no timeline for delivery published yet.
    M21 Limerick-Foynes: ABP submission deferred to Q2 2019
    N21 Abbeyfeale relief road: Consultants to be appointed shortly for Phases 1-4
    N21 Newcastelwest relief road: Consultants to be appointed shortly for Phases 1-4
    N22 Macroom-Ballyvourney: Advance works continue on site, with a construction start before end 2019 expected.
    N25 New Ross bypass: Opening of scheme now deferred to 2020.
    N56 Mountcharles-Inver: Tender for the final 2.5km of this scheme was published in March.
    N86 Tralee-Dingle: Tender issued for consultants for Phases 5-7 for 8km split between Ballynasare-Annascaul and Doonore South-Ballygarret
