Recommendations for new spreader

Any recommendations for a new spreader to replace a 45 year old amazon 500kg twin disc spreader that has just finally given up?
We spread 8ton per year. Usually 50kg bags.

Rauch spreader would be very popular around these parts with second hand units being readily available.

Do you intend staying with a twin disc spreader, or are you open minded about it? For 8 ton per year, on presumably small fields?, a wagtail might be a better option....

I would agree with this. Hard to beat a touch and there is plenty out their second hand for all types of budget.

Picked up a nice bogballe L1, yet to collect. They're well regarded and easy use apparently.
Looking forward to the hydraulic shut off as well

Wow, nice spreader!
I treated myself to a teagle xt24 there about 5years ago. Twin disc, hydraulic shutoff , mesh screen and top cover. Twas €600 more than a,wagtail at the time but it's twice the spreader.

Yeah looking forward to trying it. Vicons here for years. Will probably take a while to get used to the settings.

have the L1 here, its a joy to use, takes 2 bags load it up and drive on best of luck with it

Agrinol are the cheapest disc spreader at present a twin one should come in just sub of 2k with hydrauic shutoff. Have no trial of them but spreading 12 is to/ year and bought a teagle XT48 last year mainly for the boundary spreading option. Agrinol are eastern European/ Turkish and I expect like Jarmet sprayers they will get popular over the next few years. I am not sure how long the Agrinol warranty is but Teagle is 3 years. A twin disc XT 24 should come in around 2.5k it has a bou dry spreader as well AFAIK.
Problem with second hand ones you need to buy them locally if the warranty is to be of any use. Local dealer will always charge locals a premium.If you are not good at repairs it is easy to run up a 2-300 euro bill in 2-5 years time.
Depending on the condition of your old one it might be worth 150-300 euro for parts
