Texas Rock 3.15 leop is the bet of the weekend tomorrow. 12/1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,107 ✭✭✭HarshOstrich

    1.45 aux ptit soins
    2.25 angels breath
    3.00 clondaw castle
    3.40 roksana
    4.20 springtown lake
    5.15 rathvinden
Not arsed with the last race.
I feel roksana should be half the price and we know she is in better form than apples, wouldn't have much to find if both at there best anyway on line through benie.
    SERIOUS E/W BET.

Why is that, can't see an obvious reason.

Went for Sam Spinner w/o Apples at 4/1, and Us and them 10/3 and Angels Breath 3/1. Trebles and doubles.

Are there still some bookmakers who allow you to take prices in doubles and trebles?
Boyle’s only allow you to take a price in singles.

You can take all the prices you want but won’t get the better price in a double or treble in a shop, you will on the line

Yes but you are stuck with that price. You don’t get the better price. I probably worded my post badly.

taking a price means just that???
If you write the price on the docket, thats the price you get
Only singles go BOG, rarely if ever doubles etc

Kateson looks over priced in the next at 6/1.

Beat Brewinupastorm home before christmas and was going well before weakenening against Lisnegar Oscar over 3m. 3rd to Champ in the Challow in December.

Think the machines in shop do BOG on multiples. Have done recently since Cheltenham

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 420 ✭✭Blud

    Unbrigado for me in next.

I know it's still early in the placepot but was very dissapointed with Nico in the finish on angels breath there, Sam twistin was throwing everything at his horse and Nico was fairly easy on his, very lucky in the end to dead heat, a stronger ride and he would have got 3rd fairly comfortably.

is AJ just not the horse Hugh Cahill thinks she is........................?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

I was shouting for Apples Jade at the finish. Happy to see If The Cap Fits get up though.

Game performance from AJ, not at her best, jumping right, never seemed focused. I thought she'd throw the towel in at some point.

Lads that's as good as apples jade is, I told yas there wasn't much between her and roksana on a line through benie and that race just proved it.

I don't think Roksana would have been anywhere near as close to her in the Hattons Grace. Apples Jade wasn't at her best there IMO

Excuse after excuse for apples jade, benie de deuix is the best mare in training

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

Interested in Red Giant in the next. Second in a race that is working out pretty well in November. The winner hasn't come out since but is entered in the Scottish and Irish Nationals. The two in behind have won since and the horse has obviously been kept for spring ground.

    40/1 looks an underestimation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,625 ✭✭✭RivetingRoger

Eventually people will have to stop making excuses for AJ's form post February

Its like Road 2 Respect, there always seems to be an excuse ....

    Did Kennedy drop his stick?

Apple's Jade will still be very hard to beat in the Grade 1s next winter.

I disagree, I think she's just over the top and had too many races this season. In hindsight she was too far forward when winning by so far in the earlier races here against decent but not fully fit opposition. I think if Elliott had it again he'd bring her along slower so she's peaking in March/April.
