NXT TakeOver: New York Live Thread

Weird TakeOver being on the Friday instead of the Saturday before a big PPV, but I digress, haven't really kept up with NXT that much, but the card is looking absolutely incredible.

And said card is as follows.

Tag team match for the NXT Tag Team Championship
War Raiders (c) vs. Aleister Black and Ricochet

Singles match for the WWE United Kingdom Championship
Pete Dunne (c) vs. Walter

Fatal 4-Way match for the NXT Women's Championship
Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Io Shirai vs. Bianca Belair vs. Kairi Sane

Singles match for the NXT North American Championship
Velveteen Dream (c) vs. Matt Riddle

Two-out-of-three falls match for the vacant NXT Championship
Johnny Gargano vs. Adam Cole

Looking forward to this would be kind of odd if Ricochet/Black won the titles being on the main roster too. A gargano loss with him moving up to the main roster full time ???

Pre show kicks off at 23.00 with main show at midnight

Gargano winning is best I think. He can carry NXT for another 3/6 months while Cole losing completely frees the undisputed era to move on up. I haven't been following it but feels like the group have been lost in the shuffle a bit.

Or watch the G1 live and NXT tomorrow instead of HOF maybe. I know I'll be taking a break from it anyways or I'll be burned out by Sunday.

Thank God is right would have picked G1 over NXT all day but still glad they got separated, by far and away the two best cards of the weekend.

Looking forward to this. I can't recall a single Takeover that hasn't delivered, amazing record for PPVs.
