    How is everyone selections for tomorrow? Just browsing through at the moment...

    So far, have selected a R. Blackmore ew treble. She is a very talented jockey! Only question would be on Sub Lieutenant being a little bit out of depth...

    Surprised ground is not heavy based on today's weather

    Brio conti single
    Rachael in the bumper
    Min

    I was a total Jonah today
    If I had a w*nk I would have come second

    Aintree 13:45 Canardier 7/1
    Aintree 14:20 Itchy Feet 3/1
    Aintree 16:40- Emitom 7/2
    Aintree 17:15- Montego Grey 12/1 nr

    Looked at the topham and gave myself a headache

    Just looking at Kobrouk for Nicky Henderson in the first. Henderson's track record is quite good in this, winning 3 in 6 years.

    Kobrouk as a horse seems to like soft and with the rain today, hopefully aiding him. To me having him at 20/1 with powers paying 5 places won't last so an ew is worth a punt.

    Did an EW Lucky 15 on the below

    1.35 - Tedham (6s)

    4.40 - Walk Away (12s)
    5.15 - Mcfabulous (3/1)

    Double
    2.20 Itchy Feet (3s)
    2.50 Topofthegame (8/11)

    Surprised you are backing Aramon with all that rain??!

    I was hoping all week that today would be Aramon day. Ground definitely gone. Backed it a few days ago. I don't think it's a particularly strong race though so I'm happy to let it run. Wouldn't touch at 4s.

    Backed Chris's Dream the other day too and the ground has come right for him.

    Swings and roundabouts lads.

    Might take a punt on Lisnagar Oscar in the 4.40. Was on the shortlist for the Albert Bartlett and finished a credible fifth. Has won over the distance and I feel the ground will suit him.

    Aramon has form on soft Slattsy. Was also going to finish around where Olly Murphy’s pair did in the Supreme I think. Have a look at the replay. Townend goes for a gap at the last and gets cut in two.

    Edit: that’s bollox actually. :< Just watched it again myself. He gets an arse in the face at the last and minorly inconvenienced.
    Still think he’ll be okay on soft.

    Ground could be very tacky and even more testing today. I’d be looking at a few upsets and might do a few long shots e/w.

    Carnardier
    Call it magic
    Dewcup

    1.45 Espirit Du Large 9/1
    2.50 Chris's Dream 9/1
    4.40 Walk Away 12/1

    Nothing major of interest so a few small each way plays.

    1.45 Brio Conti ew

    He flew over these fences in the becher in December and has obviously been laid out for the race.

    Pricewise put him up as well

    Looking at a few fresh improvers for today (i.e. those not exposed at Cheltenham). Also Hell's Kitchen could be coming into a nice purple patch of form and could improve one better in the 2m Chase. Reckon there'll be a few surprises around today

    1.45 - Espirit Du Large
    3.25 - Hell's Kitchen
    4.05 - Forest Des Aigles
    4.40 - Downtown Getaway

    Andy Holding put up Ebony Jewel in the last and I might go with that also I reckon.

    Trixie;
    1.45 Kabrouk
    4.05 Call It Magic (following the money simply)
    4.40 Walk Away

    5er 4 fold;
    Topof thegame
    Waiting Patiently
    Emitom (Cover bet 3 places) - 9/4
    Santa Ross (Cover bet 3 places) - 2/1

    Trixie;
    Brio Conti
    Topofthegame
    Emitom

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭Tomw86

    forgot I did this Trixie yesterday evening;
    Each way

    1.45 3 Muskateers
    3.25 Waiting Patiently
    4.05 Forest Des Aigles

    I managed to get drunk twice yesterday, so I would tend to judge these selections with extreme prejudice.

    1) No idea - I have gone in the end for Caltex and Joke Dancer
    2) Precious Cargo
    3) Topofthegame , but he will have to be to beat Rachel Blackmore and Chris's Dream. Looks like a great race.
    4) I have no clue, possibly Min if he can put his last run behind him.
    5) Ballyhill
    6) Dallas De Pictons and maybe Trevelyns Corn
    7) Dewcup - The Ryans used to love sending Al Eile over every year. This one is a grandson of Finsceal Beo and really might be anything, but could be something special.

    Tedham at 5s looking more appealing than 7/2.

    Be very surprised if Topofthegame was to lose.
    Melling looks like a great race. Soft spot for Politologue, but think and sort of hope that Waiting Patiently gets up. The "What if" around his King George is frustrating, so would like to see him have a good go at this.
    Downtown Getaway in the Sefton looks a nice e/w shout.

    Fair play to him.

    Jamie Codd has gone to Wexford to ride Mount Ida in the bumper.
