    Thanks

Are you seriously that bothered that you cant have a meal out without counting macros?

It was more out of interest than anything tbh

I would be very wary of any place that did. Most presume people want low calories and so it is far more common to see understated values. I saw some laughable nutritional info for kebabs and fish and chips. I expect many "non fast food" places would do the same.

Most places will happily tell you how much meat is in a dish.
so to get a rough idea of macros just multiply by 4/4/9 (P/C/F). Not a foolproof method i know but it will give you more of an idea if you are the serious about tracking macros

That's a good idea didnt think about that it's because lately I have to eat out a lot for lunch due to work so would be nice to get a ball park of the macros cheers

    Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.
But multiplying meat by 4/4/9 doesn't remotely equally that macros.

1g x 4/4/9 will give you the calories
    * not just the meat, you'd need to know the carbs and fats too, the more info you get the better. as said its not fool proof but its a way of getting close to the numbers

He's didn't ask about the calories. He asked about the macros.

You are literally saying multiply the macros by 4/4/9 to get close to the macros.

Is there 100g of protein in 100g of chicken?

No there isn't, which makes your post even more ridiculous.

Easiest way to prove it. Put it to the test.
I'll go grab some lunch later. Lets say there's 150g of beef in it. What are the macros?

Its always going to be a very rough approximation so your best bet is to have a handle on the macros in all the other meals and make a choice for lunch that reflects where you're trying to get to - would lunch need have a decent protein content and be relatively low in fat etc etc - but you're not going to be able to quantify it to any great degree
