What's your most treasured possession?

What's your treasured possession/s, the first thing you'd save in a fire (after family if you have family of course :D)

I have a few, namely a PS1 I got for Christmas over twenty years ago (yes it still works) don't really use it anymore but it's the memories of that time that I like most, others are a simple guitar pick from the guitarist of Alice in Chains, a football shirt, book on prehistory from my mother which is over twenty years old and one or two other small bits of memorabilia.

    What's yours?

Considering the house is full of objects collected over nearly 50 years of married life and rearing our family here and that I have souvenirs and mementos from all over the world, there's nothing in particular coming to mind, once the family was safe. I have about 1000 books and many of them are now rare, but they'd probably not let me spend an hour in a blazing house trying to rescue them.

Please say you've made digital copies? Just in case. I love old photo albums, I would hate to lose any but I have them all backed up and saved.

My relatively good health. Visited someone in the hospital the other day and it would give you pause for thought and an appreciation that you'd have little to be complaining about.

    Apart from the dog.... Obviously......
I have a teddy bear, a very ugly teddy bear, someone gave him to my Mam when she was pregnant with me, so I don't know if he was new or not, but I'll be 44 this year & he is definitely older than me!
He has been all I've the world with me, apart from USA, he's ( me) afraid they would pull him apart in airport!

Once everyone was safe I don’t think there’s anything I own that I would turn on my heels and go back for. Nothing that comes to mind anyway, so I suppose that answers it. I’ve a lot of things that I’m fond of and that I’d miss, but most can be replaced.

Back it up on the cloud, if your house burns down it's gone.

I'd back that HD up somewhere - also get it on the cloud.

    Thank f*ck!

I'd grab my favourite guitar in a push I guess. Once the dog is out I couldn't give a sh*te about the rest of it though.

Buy another hard-drive or two and copy them over as backup - be sickening to lose any of the photos or videos

    Photographs
A necklace my friend gave to me
My bed, oak, it was made for me and has a carved inscription.
A few small objects with personal significance...a red carnelian gemstone that I keep in my pocket , and an old Irish pound coin with a nice image of a stag, turned into a keyring.

I don't really have anything in the house that can't be replaced with money. However the wife has this painting she really likes and has had it since she was a kid. So I'd grab that.

I actually have a real fear of this happening- losing everything in a house fire.
A lot of my possessions are either completely irreplaceable or would take forever and a shed load of cash to replace because they're vintage clothes, books, magazines, china, etc that are no longer made and I'd be heartbroken to lose any of them.
I have a life time of collecting early to mid-century items and they are my precious.

Apart from that I'd grab my passport without which I can't visit my fiancee soon, my computer and the safe with the deeds of my house and jewellery.

To be honest I'd probably have to be dragged out of the burning building as I frantically try to rescue as much as I could. :(

2 things, a UK sky+ card I bought from a boardsie and a book my father got from a neighbour who worked in insurance, it lists all UK and Ireland registration numbers from the beginning up to the mid 60's. It also gives info on every car and motorbike available for sale in that era too.
