Small Suvs?

Hi all, currently on the look out for a used car, I'd like a small SUV type like the Nissan Juke. However I want an automatic and they are not that plentiful. Budget is around €15k, petrol preference. Any other suggestions? I'm not a fan of saloon type cars, would convert a mid size hatch back. 2016 or newer. Thanks

I thought no you'll find it hard to find an automatic, petrol SUV.

If you don't make no diesel there is a very sweet looking Ford Kuga in Navan on Done deal. I'd recommend the Kuga.

Thanks all. I really only do city driving so thought a diesel wouldn't be a good buy? Automatic is top of my list for wants, I have wanted one for a long time, mainly due to all the city driving!

That one in particular, or all of them? I'm half keeping an eye out for something similar for herself, and you get great deals on them up North. m I advised to steer clear of them, so?

All of them. They’re basically a 2009 model Fiesta on stilts.
They’re just not up to the standards of that class and are more designed for emerging markets.

A car is a car, it is decent price....interior looks ok. Will be reliable and probably not too bad on fuel. Gives yo ua bit of height.

Ok not the nicest of things but will you care when your sitting on the inside.....

If you are prepared to go down the import route, you could land a 2016 Suzuki SX4 S-cross (1.6 Petrol SZ-T 5dr CVT Auto) within your budget (i.e. adding on VRT, transport, broker fee etc. to purchase price). Will have a good selection of colours, low mileage and well spec'd for the price (touchscreen, reverse cameras, cruise control etc). Suzukis are super reliable with good build quality.

Good choices but a good few over budget as newly released. The likes of T-ROC and Kona/Stonic would not fit into budget.

Personally the Juke or the Captur would be the best value I would see in that range.

There's nothing wrong with the Ecosport, it's a pumped up Fiesta. I only didn't buy one as it is rather small for what I want.

Are you a motoring journalist? I can't see how you'd have enough knowledge of that many cars any other way.

It is a popular car segment now. Apart from the Ecosport and Suzuki's I would know most of top of head as well...

I would know the Suzuki but the Jimny and Grand Vitara which shows my age :P

I've drove the mokka and wud not reccomend it the corsa is better to drive also tried the 2008 and thought it was nice

I get that but I was in his position a few years ago and ended up test driving loads of cars. Kuga came out on top and I was very happy with it.
Moved on to bigger since but if I could I'd go back to a Kuga.

Avoid the Mokka. It's an awful car and isn't particularly cheap. My mam has an automatic 1.4 petrol. It's slow and handles like a bus. You have to work for the power because it doesn't go anywhere in the lower revs. It's also a really loud engine, it screams at 4,000 revs and the gearbox is eager to downshift when you're accelerating to get up to speed on a slip road or when overtaking so you'll hear it a lot.

It's also a very uncomfortable car. You feel every bump on the road and it's made worse by how rattly the interior is. The boot is tiny and there's almost no legroom in the rear and no headroom. Visibility is very poor in the rear as the pillars are all quite big.

Fuel economy isn't good either and tax is €570. If you drive one get up to 80kph and make sure there's no whistling coming from the door seals.
