I haven't heard it referred to that before either.
Subscriptions are too high brow for me!
I just use Mr. Google for my weird curiosities.

That's a good question, so the same back to the next poster.

Google has become my trawler too but we used to get Time magazine when I was a child.

What world moment of your life time stands out the most for you?

Vibes forgot to ask a question so I will.
    :D

Do you ever get tempted to feed the trolls or just blank them?

Do you subscribe to any magazine or collectors catalogue?

    Nope.

Wow, you're the highbrow one so.
The one moment in my life I can think of on the spur of the moment actually had no bearing on me personally but I felt it was something that changed my perception on life in a bad way.
    It was the Omagh bomb.
I remember being a teenager and crying my heart out not understanding how or why it happened and on our lovely island.

You can answer the same question so!

    I remember that too.

I think for me it was the fall of communist leader Nicolae Ceaușescu and the pictures of him and his wife's execution in the time magazine. First time I saw a dead person not from old age. It made me realise a lot about the world around us.

    Can you lighten the mood?

After that, I think that's wise!

Do you prefer the sea or the pool?

    Definitely the sea

When you go in the sea does more appear or disappear ?

I can sing high pitched songs..... So ya now yourself.

Anyway, what is the nicest feeling you experience within 20 mins of waking up daily?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,014 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

Is that a metaphorical question, a philosophical one or are you on the cigarettes tonight?
The practical answer is more disappears because when you get in the sea, you switch off and unwind and leave your troubles temporarily on the sand.

Last question, before I have my horizontal workout : Say something controversial.

I'll say it bluntly because the others are being polite. You're being an ass.

You're ruining the harmless easy going thread.

So basically, good night. Chat tomorrow and if you read this thread back and feel hard done by then you can report me.
But meanwhile would it be ok if you stop being a dick?

Ever meet someone from your school days and be shocked by how much they've changed?

Constantly. I usually order books online and pick them up locally. A great service.

How many books would you own?

I'm surrounded by the things. Cant bring myself to let them go ...

Years since I bought a book for myself. Library service is indeed great ( except that I find a lot of the inter coco requests never get filled )

When travelling do you hunt down local libraries ?

No, but I'm a terror for bookshops.. It's the one thing I buy..

Do you use a Kindle/e reader?

No. I tried but just didn't take to it. I love the feel of a book.
And I like the stacked shelves of my home library.

    Fiction or Non-fiction?
