Have you read 'Come Tell Me How You Live' in which Agatha Christie tells of her experiences with her husband doing archeological digs in an area some of which might now be considered Syria ?

Does seeing a 3 legged dog out for a walk make you immediately laugh at it or immediately feel sad for it?

Have you ever been heavily overweight?

Yes, although I was fit and strong. But I was still overweight and very unhealthy. My avatar is me fighting at 130kg

March 2017 and first Judo comp that year I weighted in at 130kg.

Later that month diagnosed with type II diabetes.

November 2017 and last Judo competition of the year and I was down 35kg (roughly 6 stone).

Weight now is 95kg, and although I've two more tests it appears as though my diabetes is gone in reverse, I'm off diabetes meds two weeks now.

Ever had a serious health scare?.

    Thankfully no.

Have you fully embraced the metric system to the extent that you now think in terms of kilometres and kilograms, or do you find yourself trying to mentally convert stuff to miles and pounds/stones when you see it?

I would have said I fully embrace the metric system, but come to think of it I do often find myself converting kilometers to miles, and someone's height to feet and inches.. My concept of weight is based on a thing of sugar being a kilogram, but again, I'd have no idea how heavy someone who weighs say 160kg is..So on reflection, I obviously don't fully embrace the metric system..

Do you get on well with your siblings?

I rarely wear shorts in Ireland, only on holiday.

Do you read? If so what's your favourite book?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,521 ✭✭✭magic_murph

I try to wear shorts all year round - shame to hide these beauties behind long pants.

I'll probably make a spicy chicken caesar salad for myself.

    Do you like spicy food?

Well I have the "Last Dab redux" sauce which comes in at over 1,000,000 Scoville. So I guess that is a yes.

Where is the worst place youve put your hands - forgetting you just handled chilli or hot sauce.

    A rancid dead whale.

    Are you a charming person?

The ladies seem to think so, yes. :)

Assuming you want it (or assuming it's being forced on you if you don't) the UK is withdrawing from Ulster and returning the six counties to the republic. The price is that you have to surrender just one of the southern 26 counties back to the UK.

    A) Which one do you sacrifice?
    B) Why?

I don’t know, maybe Leitrim as it has a small population.

Are you risk averse or live life on the edge?

IRL risk averse. Online . . .maybe not so much.

Have you ever met someone online or through a dating app and it was a complete disaster in real life?

No, I just can't get into the idea of dating apps..

Do you fear ending up alone?

No, happiest in the real world. By far!

Would you prefer to be two inches taller or two inches thinner?
