trying to cancel an account

    There are so many threads on this it's unbelievable.
    My Father in Law has passed away after a long illness and I still cannot cancel his account.

    I wrote to eir a month ago
    Rang 1091 yesterday and was on hold for over an hour.
    Rang today and was told the wait would be "at least" 40 minutes so I hung up.
    Tried eir chat who gave me the address that I posted the original cancellation notice to and said thats all they can do for me.
    NOW if this doesn't get sorted somehow today I'm cutting the phone line and eir can do whatever they like with their bills.
    I await your reply.

    You will need to email accountchange@eir.ie

    In the email, you will need to give the Account Name,Account Address, Account Number, DOB of account holder. 

    As soon as this email is received the team will be in contact with you.
