    12.40 court maid @ 8/1
Really like this mare and a cracking e/w price, won her last 3 hurdles starts since coming 2nd on debut and the taking thing has been the variety of trips she has won over.20f,24F and 16f last time so another new trip today in 18f and a lovely weight.

    1.15 sir erec @ 7/4
Impressive hurdling debut for this classy flat horse, joseph has all the aces in the division and I think this is his best.

    1.50 klassical dream @ 11/4
Ruby chose this horse over aramon who I fancied for this race, has beaten a number of todays rivals as well.

    2.45 Southwell ornate @ 2/1
At the top of his game and running good times here, foolaad is running well but the weight seems to hold him back.

    3.00 delta work @ 7/4
Best form and I expect him to win.

    3.15 Southwell seasearch@10/3
Eye catching run last time back here and today’s race looks weaker, wide draw but should have enough time to gradually get across to a prominent position and should be tough to beat.

    3.35 bellshill @ 7/2
Should be spot on after his good run at Christmas, I can already see him travelling well into the straight😉

Just the one for me tomorrow and it’s in the last. Jeremy’s Flame is improving with each run, was beaten into 3rd by a serious animal two runs back and duly dotted up back against her own sex last time out winning comfortably. I’m hoping she wins and have backed her win only 6/1. The dead eight go to post so if one drops out it will mess up ew terms.

Monalee is surely overpriced tomorrow no?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 110 ✭✭Leslie Purkiss

    Busy day for me today

12.40 - Sassy Diva - all form suggests she is better animal than 116

13.50 - Aramon - I must go ew (9 runners) with the proven grade 1 winner, albeit a weak one, currently priced at 9/2 vs. hype of front pair.

15.00 - Hardline - I’m surprised how little respect this lad is receiving. Beat the much touted Getabird last day and comfortably beat Us And Them previously. Looks very solid. Backed him ante and will go in again at 10’s ew if the 8 remain. I’d be surprised if he’s not bang there jumping the last.

15.35 - Monalee - maybe always finds one too good, however, the staying division looks to be about the next generation. I think Al Boum is the biggest danger but he’s following up his seasonal reappearance abit quickly for my liking. Monalee ew as I think he should improve again given last day was his first outing in open company.

Any second now actually looks value for once in this race . He is always over bet but he is in form this year and won't be far away here . He looks the best horse in this race and goes off about 9/2

    2 points win 8/1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,474 ✭✭✭longshotvalue

    12:40

Allertrix has much better form over hurdles than a mark of 130 indicates . She was multiple graded race place efforts last year and if she acts on the ground here (she wouldn't be here if not) , she looks to have a great chance

    2 points ew 16/1 5 places vc/coral/u

If Joseph can sort out this 4 yo's head as well as he has others that came from France he may well look great value at 40/1 . I'm not sure it's ever clear with these young horses which is best . Eye catching run last time

    1 point ew 40/1 1/4 place 365 Filon Dourdairies

    3.00 elixir d’ainay @ 25/1 e/w

Beaten just over 4 lengths by today’s fav on his Irish debut, will surely improve a bit for that as it was also his hurdle debut
Was impressed how well he ran on after not jumping the best and the favs experience told on the day.
Should get closer to fav today which should see him involved.

‪Oscar Knight was 2nd in that last year in a tougher race . With paddy and vc still going 5 places with only 12 runners 16/1 is a great price .‬

‪1 point ew 5 places 16/1 paddy and vc ‬

    3:00

The Fav will be hard to beat but I think Hardline is underestimated here at 6/1 . His beating of Us and Them and Getabird is top class form and he looks a 3/1 shot to me . 6/1 or 11/2 is certainly too big

    2 points win 6/1 betfair

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,474 ✭✭✭longshotvalue

    1:50

If Elixir Dainay makes even average improvement from his very good debut behind the fav here, he could well get involved here . He's not here for no reason , and is too big a price .

    1 point ew 33/1 365 1/4 place

I just can't resist a bet on Valseur Lido here at 40/1. He's good around here and travelled well last time out until he got tired . This trip and ground might get him close if his jumping is as good .

    1 pt ew 40/1 5 places hill/paddy/sky

Price that's it's possible I could be posting the Joker setting fire to a mountain on money from Batman , with that many bets on Irish racing . 4/6.

    Good luck to all .

Court Maid ridden there with a Cheltenham mark in mind. David Mullins no interest in winning on him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,172 ✭✭✭NaiveMelodies

Re Alletrix; am pretty sure Coral reverted to 3 places from 5 following the non runners in the first there.
Fair enough deduct a place but it was a special in the first place, cowardly behaviour.

    I backed her as well
She just didn’t travel well from an early stage, I’d say something was amiss
He shouldn't have had her 4 wide throughout tho.

No, not true. She was off 124 today, required a good win today to have a chance of Chelts.

Winter Escape 3.00 Fairyhouse. 3/1 now. Told he’ll win.

Impressive. Will be hard to beat at Cheltenham.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,133 ✭✭✭hawaii501

Surely Klassical Dream is the bet of the day in the 1.50
Won well at Christmas here, main dangers would be the 2 stablemates so hopefully not a case of Mullins bingo.

Gleeson thinks he’s John Mcririck the way he carries on, the only thing is he’s far worse than Mcririck. A moron of the highest order.

Ted Walsh saying it’s good to firm in his opinion earlier, maybe not dangerous but can see why some trainers wouldn’t be risking it, especially with horses who definitely need soft in the description somewhere.

Absolutely....for those of us of a certain age! Wasn’t a natural jumper of fences it has to be said, just heart and courage got him to the line that day.
