My partner got a phone call from a UK-based number this afternoon from a person telling her there was a fault with her Eir broadband connection and that they would like to debug it via remote-control of her computer. Is this legitimate? Do you at Eir ever in fact do this kind of thing?[/font]

    This is a spam call. eir would never contact customers in this way
