The toilets in the OdySea Aquarium in Scotsdale, Arizona have a view out into the aquarium itself.

It took the creator of the Rubik’s Cube, Erno Rubik, one month to solve the cube after he created it; as of June 2018 the world record is 4.22 seconds.

There's a machine that can do it quicker, it's current record is 0.38sec

Luxembourg is about the size of Roscommon or Limerick, but you can fit another 7 countries inside it's borders at the same time.

^ they're taking liberties with the borders there.

Im in thailand, so heres some facts:
Its the only country in SE asia not to be colonised by a european power, although it gave serious trade concessions to the french and the brits.
The new king took over from his dad last year after he ruled for 60+ years and the son grieved for 3. Thai royalty are revered as semi-deities and are protected by harsh leses-majeste laws to disallow any critical remark against them. The current king divorced his wife by saying she cheated on him, she could not counter it as it would have broken the law and she would go to jail.
He also promoted his dog to a high ranking air force position.

The police are probably on their way for me...

Note to self: Never marry the King of Thailand

Other Note to self: Overthrow King, install oneself as Queen of Thailand

Final Note to self: Promote Mr Dinky to head of protocol.

Revel (majestically) in the spectacle of foreign dignitaries sniffing one anothers rumps.

Must be able to fit the Vatican City in there too?

Edit: I see it now. Proving how tiny it is😊

The Vatican is only slightly larger than an average Irish farm. It's 44 hectares, whereas the average Irish farm is 33 hectares.

16 Vaticans would fit in the Phoenix Park.

    So, yep, it's small!

It's a pity they couldn't put together a football team, then San Marino might get the beat someone.

During the 14th century the papacy resided in the French city of Avignon for about 70 years.

The Vatican does actually have a national football team but they struggle to get a squad together, as they draw players from Vatican employees such as the Swiss Guard. They've played only a handful of international matches, and aren't members of FIFA.

There are plenty of claims online that Giovanni Trapattoni managed them at some stage in 2010, and he seems to be in a team photo here so I suppose it's probably true.

"Bone Records" a.k.a. "X-ray Audio" story...

    mg22830512-700-1-800.jpg

[...] Ghostly bootleg records made from repurposed X-ray plates offer a glimpse into the counterculture movement whose members were prepared to risk imprisonment for rock ‘n’ roll.

Music was strictly censored in the USSR. Only classical or patriotic tunes were deemed ideologically acceptable – you could be arrested for listening to Western music or even traditional folk tunes. But in the 1950s, a handful of music fans in Leningrad (now St Petersburg) began to defy the state. Before long, an underground cottage industry in home-made records had sprung up.

Unable to get hold of vinyl, the audio dissidents used home-made lathes to press recordings onto X-ray plates salvaged from hospitals. The records were then cut into circles with scissors and the central hole burnt with a cigarette. [...]

    Breaking news for breakfast time-

Apparently, you can toast potato waffles! I've been putting them in the oven all this time. They are a great break-water between the beans and the egg on a fry -up. Can't have beans and egg touching each other.

I bet some of you here knew this -but it has never occurred to me before. Potato bread/soda farl for the win on a fry, but a waffle makes a handy substitute. Toast away boys and girls!

You can stick them in a toaster bag, too, before you put them in the toaster.

The most decorated British soldier of WWI was a pacifist who never fired a shot in the whole war.

William Coltman was a Plymouth Brethern, a group who closely follow the bible believing thou shalt not kill. In his first battle interaction he refused to use his gun and the next day asked to be retrained as a stretcher bearer, one of the most dangerous jobs in the trenches.

He received the Victoria Cross, Distinguished Conduct Medal and two Military Medals for numerous cases of rescuing soldiers under constant fire. He survived the war, being wounded several times, was evacuated from Dunkirk on the last ship to leave the beach in 1940 and died at the age of 82 in 1974.

    His Wiki page is here.

And there's a bit more on him here .

You're thinking of Hacksaw Ridge about Desmond Doss in World War 2 who single-handedly saved over 50 men.
