Systematic names of chemical compounds can run to hundreds of thousands of characters in length. The rules of creation of such names are commonly defined by international bodies, therefore they formally belong to many languages. The longest recognized systematic name is for the protein titin, at 189,819 letters. It takes roughly 3.5 hours to say.

NASA were so worried that the crew of Apollo 8 , a test mission for the moon landing , would seize the chance to make history that they deliberately short fuelled the lander . So if they did touch down they could never be able to take off again . This was relayed to the crew before the mission . Also the reason Armstrong was chosen as first man was he was a civilian test pilot and not currently in the air force afaik .
Both Collins and Armstrong had ancestors from Ireland . Armstrong from Tyrone I think and Collins from Cork. No surprise there .
