Interesting to see if they will stay in the market as a soft and easy "real ale" brewer or will Asahi push them out as some sort of old time traditional UK brand. And with Brexit looming is this a badly timed purchase or a timely cash in for what now becomes exclusively a Landlord?

You've a funny picture of Fuller's there. It was already a big international beer brand, one that had long been in the business of buying up and closing down other breweries. They'll definitely get an international push from it: in several countries I've been in pubs with some sort of supply tie to Asahi, so there's Urquell, Meantime and Peroni together on the same menu. Now there'll be Fuller's too.
