    It appears that with the rapidly developing knowledge of genetic code and such helpful gene editing tools as CRISPR, the creation of synthetic organisms was one anticipated outcome. California's Romesberg Lab in 2014 created XNA (synthetic alternative to DNA), followed by Synthetic Genomics 2016 creation of lifeform JCVI-syn3.0. More advanced creations are sure to follow.

    Methinks such creation will expand geometrically in the near future. Your thoughts?
