Looks like you just have to sign up to their news letter. I didnt bother with getting it because i'm never gonna be in town tues to thursday within that 6 day window. and am dubious as to why they are so concerned about telling them you have the voucher beforehand.

I would guess that it'll be fairly restricted how many of these they'll take bookings for on a given night!

It does, but if you go to buy/send a voucher on Fade Street Social site it's also "Not Secure" and http:// . Asking for an e-mail and name so perhaps use an e-mail you don't care about much.

Into spam for me too. Looking at the menu I don’t think I’ll be visiting anyway. Outrageous pricing

By Claiming this offer you are agreeing to receive promotional material from the PrimeSteak Grou

    Hmmmm

Haven't seen the menu, but judging by the reactions here, it sound like the equivelant of a voucher for €1 off €100 spend in a Supermarket.
Also doesn't sound like the type of restaurant where you would expect many of the customers to be using vouchers.

Also seems odd that you have to claim the voucher off Fade Street Social and not the Shelbourne Social website.

I think one person on there own could get a bargain. But they may just say they don't have a table I'd say. They will prioritise people with the biggest tables. Actually a smart way of doing it on their side at least.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

Good way to "fill" seats that would be mostly empty in Jan/Feb.
At the prices, they will be recouping the cost of the €50 voucher very quickly.

Got the voucher there. Cheers op

Both part of the same group. It was sent out in a Fade Street Social mail which was actually in my spam folder along with the email containing the voucher after I requested one.

At the bottom of my email it says 'This email was scanned by Avast' which I don't have on my phone. Curiouser and curiouser.

If it is scanned by Avast, it's just telling you that the outgoing email from the mailing list server scanned it. This is not relating to your advice.

Most mailing lists are scanned, but they're obviously using a free version of Avast, and that's why you're seeing the message on the end.

35 quid for a burger. Even with the voucher your handing over 20 for two burgers (and nothing else). Makes Eddie rockets, five guys and wow burger seem reasonable...

    Good luck getting a booking!

    – Voucher and booking is subject to availability. Limited tables available per evening for this offer so BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.

The booking system is online and there's loads of space. There's nobody forcing any tin hat people to take the voucher. It's impossible to keep people happy on this forum

relax the cax there would you?

It says in the terms & conditions that you need to mention the voucher at the time of booking. I don't see anywhere to do this when booking online but I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong.

When you ring i suspect they'll have a limit on the number of tables allowed to use the voucher but again I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong.

You're not going to get out of there without spending an extra 50 on two people. Think of it as half price, booking availability notwithstanding.

You can add it in the comments tbf. It's €50 for free that you're not obliged to spend, not much to complain about here.

You could ring and make the booking (omitting the voucher) and then ring up later saying 'oh my wife/husband/dog just came home with the voucher, I would like to mention it, as it says on the voucher that it should be mentioned'.

Of course they could say you had to mention it at the time of booking, you didn't have the voucher then. You could offer to cancel and rebook.

Although they may bs you that they have somebody waiting for that exact table.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 507 ✭✭✭Sinus pain

You have to mention the voucher at the time of booking as they only keep limited spaces for the vouchers - so probably only leave 4 or so tables for voucher use per day.

4 tables per day, and only 3 midweek days per week til end of feb.

Total 17 days it's valid on

I just made a booking by phone and mentioned it during the call. No hassle.

Nice one, I'd been planning on checking this place out anyway, might as well knock 50 quid off the price while I'm at it.

I got the voucher, booked online and mentioned the voucher in the special requests box which can be filled in after you've confirmed your booking.
