KBC direct debit set up

    Hi, 

    I am just wondering why KBC does not appear in the drop down list of banks to set up a direct debit from on the eir dashboard? 

    I am considering changing my current account in future and want to be able to update my direct debit manually in case there are any problems with bank switching hence my question, but currently this does not seem possible if someone is with KBC.

    At the moment eir does not have an agreement with KBC to set up direct debits. 

    That is the reason why it is not showing on the list.

    Eir have a prehistoric list of banks in the drop down list. Anglo Irish was still there the last time I looked. I suspect they have KBC listed under one of its former names.

    In any case, I was told by the agents here to ring and update the details over the phone. I did that and eir have no problem extracting money from
    my KBC account.

    TBH now that direct debits are done through SEPA, I would have thought that such quandries are a thing of the past. You are spot on though Anglo is still on the list!
