syncing audio from tv to soundbar

    hi all
    i have a sony bravia kdl49we753 and that is connected to a sony HTCT290.CEK 300W soundbar via a hdmi lead.
    The issue i have come across is that the sound goes out of sync with the picture after about 45 mins of watching a program on the tv. To reset it i just turn the soundbar off, so that the tv speakers kick in, and then i turn the soundbar back on which solves the problem for another 45 mins approx. Ive tried going through the sound menus on the tv etc but i cant find anything about syncing external speakers?
    I didnt think id have this problem as both products are sony, probably a bit naive on my part!
    any advice greatly appreciated thanks.
