Thought it was a savage deal to go see the northern lights or a few days in Reykjavik :P

Potentially specific deals to that Galway store? I just checked Ballincollig and they say they aren't doing it, but doing 15 off 60.
Shame cos that Prosecco deal and the Xmas dinner deal look like a good combo for €45!

It's a generic Iceland coupon. Should be valid in all stores

They have leaflets at the tills in my local Iceland with 4 coupons on it, one valid each week of December. The one for this week (17th - 23rd) is €15 off €60, next week's is €10 off €40 so there may be no need to buy the paper. Check your local first. As another poster stated they have a leaflet for Jan too.

    Yes. Some branches sell alcohol

They also do 2*24 cans of Pepsi Max, 7Up Free and Fanta Zero for €15. And their bread, milk and other store cupboard items are all either the same price as the main supermarkets or cheaper. I personally would struggle to make up the €40 on my own but for a family I'd imagine it is very doable.

I'm very fond of their chicken curry/chicken in black bean sauce packs at €2 each, but yea I'd struggle to get to €40 even with 6/7 of those and other stuff.

    I need a bigger freezer :)

I see plenty of people filling trolleys in Iceland, presumably they have large families and a deep freezer, the 6 for €6 is a good deal and the ice creams are very reasonable we picked up a few recently for €1.50 and they had crunchie daim toblerone etc and it’s much cheaper than buying one or two from the local shop or the dreaded ice cream van when he calls.

Our local icecream van man always has the music on by the time he reaches the area I live in, so I don't know what his prices are like :(

Oh yeah, Roysters! Must get another bag of those.

I get Crucials Yougurt and Mint sauce from there. It's the best really from the Crucials range of sauces. I also get Pukka Pies. And recently Linda McCartney Vegetarian Pies, they were on special at a euro for two. Tasty.

Anyone else noticing a lot of stuff that was previously €1.25 is now €1.50? These things are still labelled £1 sterling.

1.25 was a considerable, but maybe justified markup on the UK prices. 1.50 seems like it's taking the urine a bit. Was recently in the UK and tesco's prices there are very very close to what we're paying here.

Tesco have intense competition here from Aldi/Lidl, hence the lower prices

TESCO own brand fig rolls are made Burton's Biscuits in the UK they also make the fig rolls for Lidl.

Jacobs fig rolls (Fig Rolls for the Irish Market) are made in the UK, think they are made by OP Chocolate in Wales the same company who manufactures Jacobs Club Milks for the Irish Market.

No Fig Rolls are made in Ireland anymore.

Really? You must have been spoiled by the chipper version. I challenge you to find a nicer filling in any other store bought pie here.

Bought 4 packets, donated the remaining 3 to the parents... they cooked up a couple last night and thought they were lovely. Maybe I had a suspect pack
