    Poll up

Think Max wins the main event . As long as he comes out like the old Max .

He is much better striker and should be able to keep the fight at distance to stop Ortega getting a hold of him . Ortega will get a hold of him once or twice but think Max can fight him off and tko him in the 4th

I've been waffling back and forth but am going with Valentina and Brian for the Win (s) ...........**bites nails**, lol.

Kinda surprised how one sided this has been for Ansaroff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

    Think Claudia was surprised too...

Manua caught a bit cold coming out for the first, but strangely looked to be in more control despite getting rocked. Santos was wild. Great 1st round though.

Everything thrown from deep with bad intentions in that fight.

That was incredibly entertaining, great matchmaking it must be said.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Short and sweet. Very entertaining start. Nice of him not to land more shots when he dropped Manuwa.

Pure excitement there what a fight

This. WHY????? Lack of the maniac factor, killer instinct----what? I couldn't believe he gave him time to recover, figured he'd lose after that.

I just meant after the finishing punch. Agreed he might have finished it in the first if he had taken the chance to dive in, but he seemed reluctant to go to the ground.

Ah, thought you meant Manawa, lol. Can tell I am tired..

Anyhow, neither here nor there, it just seemed such a lost window , specially when I keep reading this could be the end of the road for him in the UFC.

Cause as Rogan pointed out that chap has the thor hammer tattooed onto his chest im pretty sure he believes in his power so to speak. Why try to kill or injure someone, its just being a dick

Haven't heard anyone described as a pit fighter since tank abbott days!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

No, this mixup is my fault, I thought he was talking about Manawa dropping Thiago.

    Timid first....give it to Dawodu.

Was this fight moved from the undercard? It seems more of a Fight Night type rather than a PPV.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Bochniak needs a KO now, but it doesn't look likely tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Dawadu showed a nice range of skills, but the fight was like a sparring session, not very exciting. Bochniak barely touched him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Did I hear that right? a judge gave it 29-28 to Bochniak, how ridiculous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 96 ✭✭chin nuts

That judge should be taken out already. How he gave that to Bochniak is crazy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

    Good luck Gunny!!

    Cmon gunni!!!

This one should be a lot better. Tough to call this one, but I'm hoping Gunnar can win.

Jesus what an elbow, sliced him open. Great patience once he mounted Oliveira.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

That elbow! Great stuff from Gunni after the first round got away from him when in a good position.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,919 ✭✭✭simongurnick

Fair play to him. Am icelanic phrase?

it was, but awful at the same time!

I got to agree with Felder's suggestion that if a fence grab is so egregious as to deny a takedown (as it did in the first) the position should be resumed on the ground. What's the point in standing them back up into position before the fence grab. At the moment there is no disincentive to grabbing it (at least once)

At the very least it should be resumed on the ground

I think fighters should be docked a point when as blatant
As that...second fence grab should be a pt reduction Otherwise, some refs ffs...

Refs have been pretty bad tonight, one in particular should never ref again

    Is gunni gone from sbg?

I hope Joanna gets her face broke here!

Has a child and seems he's much happier to train in Iceland than spend 8 weeks in Ireland leading up to any of his fights. Understandable and he still has Kavanagh in his corner as noted above.

Joanna does a victory lap after losing four rounds of the fight.

Surly a confortable points win for Shevchenko?

49-46 across the board. i don't know why the commentary got so weird half way through the fight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 96 ✭✭chin nuts

Shevchenko deserved every bit of that. classy fighter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,246 ✭✭✭ardinn

im still only one minute into round 4 - My streams are a little slow :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

The only reason for the commentary swing towards Shevchenko being tired has to be based on she has no competition at 125 and they'll be selling the rematch within the year. Someone must have told them to play up Joanna because Shevchenko was still sharp in the fifth.

Have no idea how this one will go, hoping for a great one.

T-City by flying triangle in the first minute.

Ortega is going to need another one of his comeback submission wins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,919 ✭✭✭SlowBlowin

My gut says Ortega, my brain says Max.
