    You have to do what's best for you.

    I think you should return to the company doctor and tell him what you just told us.

    It's an oft quoted misconception that you cannot be dismissed if absent from work on certified sick leave. If you are absent for an extended period, and if your employer has modified your working conditions to accommodate your illness, then they get specialist opinion that you could actually work, they may well be setting you up for dismissal on the grounds that you are incapable/will not carry out your duties as per your terms of employment. You may have to accept that this type of role may not be for you anymore.
