This week's 'Ray D'Arcy Show'guests have been revealed, and they include Irish sports stars and a celebrity chef.

Ireland rugby star Robbie Henshaw and his family are releasing an album of traditional tunes with trad favourite Sharon Shannon called 'The Secret Sessions'.

They'll be joining Ray for chats and a session in the kitchen.

Fresh from picking up a gold medal at the World Elite Women's Boxing Championships in India, Kellie Harrington will be joining Ray to talk about her success.

Her team manager, boxing legend Bernard Dunne, the High Performance Director of the Irish Athletic Boxing Association, will also be making an appearance.

After a rough couple of years, celebrity chef Dylan McGrath will be talking to Ray about the chronic pain that left him unable to walk and his successful battle to get back to good health and doing what he loves best.

The State Pathologist, Professor Marie Cassidy, will join Ray to talk about her decision to retire at the end of this year after nearly 15 years in the role.

Watch The Ray D'Arcy Show, Saturday, December 1 at 10.00pm on RTÉ One.

Yeah not a bad line up. Primarily because there are no RTE liggers on hawking their wares.

You think so? For people who don't like sports I think it's awful other than Maire Cassidy. How many sports stars are they trying to cram in? RTE seem to have them every week. It should be once in a blue moon they have a sports star on and they should be good and relevant. For example Mick McCarthy might be a good guest now.
and his family are releasing an album of traditional tunes with trad favourite Sharon Shannon called 'The Secret Sessions'.

oh so we know why they bothered to come on. Added to this RTE's apparent love for both rugby and traditional music and you have a winner. Never mind the fact that most people have zero interest in rugby and most people have zero interest in traditional music.

There's something really irritating about this.
After a rough couple of years, celebrity chef Dylan McGrath will be talking to Ray about the chronic pain that left him unable to walk and his successful battle to get back to good health and doing what he loves best.

Another type of guest the rte directors seem to love - foodies and celebrity chefs.
The State Pathologist, Professor Marie Cassidy, will join Ray to talk about her decision to retire at the end of this year after nearly 15 years in the role.

This is more like it, a good guest. Someone interesting that we might learn something from.

    That is incorrect.

I'd be inclined to think that rugby while seemingly huge in some parts of the country wouldn't have any genuine following certainly where I am here in the West.

I feel she should demonstrate some of her moves on Ray.

    Different people like different things.

Over a million people watched Ireland's last Rugby game.

To say "most people have zero interest in Rugby" is patently wrong.

People need to get over this notion that if they don't have an interest in a person, then nobody else in the Country does.

Met Bernard Dunne and some of his friends in Dooblin airport and later that night in Liverpool a few years back, he was very nice and remembered us from the airport.

RTE is so poor these days. The Aerial fell down off the roof about six months ago, and tbh I haven't even bothered climbing up on the roof to put it back in place. It's just a pity that Rod Hull didn't live in Ireland, he might still be with us.

1/5 is certainly not most people.

The majority of people have no interest in Rugby.

Well in fairness, she didn't have to cover up as many state involved crimes as Harbison.

Someone needs to have a word with these Artists and Sculptors, paintings and sculptures should actually look like the people who they are supposed to be.

By that logic the majority of people have no interest in any guest.

You will not find a majority of people interested in any single person or event.

No Television Show gets more than 50% of ratings.

Well the fact that he got the profession right is actually progress WMM. I have heard him get somebody's profession wrong on the radio show and then ARGUE with them about it.

Not necessarily. What you're thinking of is a photograph.

It should be the artists interpretation, in this case it was quite poor. Very disappointing all round especially as he has previously shown that he is more than capable. Of course no one can say "eh that's a bit ****" given the circumstances, so it becomes a case of the emperors clothes.

Great to see a professional with a proper job on TV, ie a job that isn't glamorous, requires a lot of hard work and long hours.

Ray is such an ignorant buffon.

Quincy used to be good, he always did the autopsy and solve the crime in an hour every single week.

And find time for some banter with his long suffering assistant.

Well nothing looks too accurate in statue form, unfortunately Skid. They put a statue of me on O'Connell Street and if I'm honest I think it looks more like Jim Larkin.

If this pathologee job doesn't work out, you could always become an Altern 8 tribute act.

    Just sayin' :)
