    Hi all,
I'm looking at getting a home multi gym for myself and the wife, but at a bit of a loss in terms of what type of kit to get.

    So 2 questions:
    1) Is there anywhere in Dublin area that sells this stuff? ie; bricks and mortar place, not online.
    2) Budget - I see a few options in the 500euro space, what does your money really get at this level? I don't want something that is going to be falling apart.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

    If it was me.....

Id get a squat rack, a bench that can be used with the squat rack, Olympic barbell, some weights......Then a couple of sessions with a personal trainer to show you how to use them and give you a program

Or else I would follow a bodyweight program that just requires a pull up bar and dip station . Something like the bodyweight forums recommended routine on reddit

I'd second that. Very good advice.

Does anyone have any experience with the multi gym in the link? It's from argos. Cheers.

I don't think you'll find any regular users around here, multi gyms are probably the last thing you'd need in your home gym

Don't throw away 500 quid on a multi gym. Buy one good adjustable bench. Selection of spin lock free weights, kettle bells from say 7.5kg to 12kg to start. None of the above will drop in value if you give up after 3 days and want to sell them on. Multi gyms are most commonly found in scrap yards these days.
If you think you will kerp it up invest it trx straps, I have a fairly decent home gym built up in a spare garage and I use the straps and kettle bells a fair bit.
