Saints tonight, I will look at the other games tomorrow. Thanks.

Jaysus, no one picking the cowboys, I mean I think the saints should make a show of us, but for some reason I can't completely write us off, I think our defense can really choke Brees, and Amari Cooper and Dak are getting better week by week, which gives us the Zeke option, it'll either be a scarily close game, or 54-3 to the saints......

Picking the Saints tonight, put the rest of my picks up before Sunday.
I think this could be a very high scoring game but I'm expecting a 12-17 point Saints win.

It's the reason that I'm only getting my picks up now.

I've had this knawing feeling all week about a few games. If the Saints are gonna get done I feel it would be tonight. But at the same time they just look unstoppable.

I think tonight is going to be a whopper.

Great defense but the Saints look off compared to what we've seen for most of the year. Looking forward to seeing if Payton can make some changes at halftime.

The Cowboys D has had their number all game. I don't agree that it's the Saints having an off game to be honest.

This has happened before this season. The Vikings game springs to mind.

As a Bears fan this has reaffirmed my belief that if we met the Saints in the post season we could give them a real game.

That's a big win for the Cowboys. Leighton Vander Esch is great to watch.

  • Registered Users Posts: 394 ✭✭rebelyell99

Cowboys D came up big tonight and there offense did just enough .I think we saw the formula for beating the saints get pressure on brees up the middle he doesnt cope well with it being a small qb . The refs were horiffic in this game the missed helmet to hemet call was a joke .

    Great shout.

What a game, Vander Esch is a stud. Cowboys D is real, wouldn't like to face them in the playoffs.

    Rams (10-1):

    @ DET
    @ CHI
    vs PHI
    @ ARI
    vs SF

    Saints (10-2):

    @ TB
    @ CAR
    vs PIT
    vs CAR

Saints holding the tiebreak over the Rams could be crucial, if the Rams drop a game. However the Saints' final three games are nasty.

Well, I've obviously picked up some knowledge somewhere.......

Absolutely cannot get over that defensive performance, people are saying that the saints never showed up, but our defense completely smothered them.

Offence was fine, a few good passes, 2 nice runs from Prescott and Cooper/hurns look like a legit 1/2. But so many plays came down to 3rd and 6/7/8, and that will not work in the playoffs, especially since Dak is averaging nearly a fumble per game.

Still, playoffs look likely, and Saints and Rams will probably be hoping we get there and lose, because the other team will be beat up going into the game...

Defensively we were better than I expected & thats saying something as IMO we've looked decent there, OL gave up a lot of sacks though which on another day could have killed us. Agree that we smothered them rather than them having an off day. Just hoping this is a stepping stone & not raising our game as a one off. Eagles on our tails & if they beat us top us on the h2h so its crucial we keep this going now.

Genuinely didnt see this coming, though it'd be tight but didnt really expect to get a win.

I looked at the score in disbelief when I woke up this morning. The Saints being beaten was a big surprise to me, the Saints in a game with only 23 points was an even bigger shock.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,364 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Well it appears I along with others got it wrong. My pick of the saints was partly because I'm an eagles fan but also because I'd seen the saints live two weeks in a row and was very impressed with them and genuinely didn't think the cowboys would beat the saints. I'll have to watch the condensed game version but it looking briefly at the stats it looks like the cowboys were well worth their win.

Cowboys pretty much dominated that game thought silly penalties and turnovers was going to cost them the win

I gave credit to the defense but when I posted at half time the Saints players were dropping passes that they haven't during the season. As the game progressed into the second half it became clearer that a lot of that was down to the pressure on Brees which caused him accuracy issues.

I wouldn't count the Bears out if they faced the Saints but I would temper expectations. It is a lot to base opinions on two Saints road games where they struggled over the course of the season. Outside of a miracle the Bears will be doing the travelling and have zero notable wins so far this year on the road and as of now will end the year with the easiest strength of schedule. The Bears have outperformed expectations but I'm not yet on the hype train.

    Daniel starts again at QB.

Cleveland browns vs the Houston Texans is a game that will be very interesting(which is why I'm watching it) but it's funny how when we look at the schedule in April when it's released and some of the games you think might mean something during the season don't and others like the browns today wouldn't even remotely stand out.

    Daniel starts again at QB.

Trubisky looked good throwing everyone is saying, and if it was a team with a better record he probably would have played today.

Don't know if I agree with resting him if he could have played. Hopefully we can contain Barkley but we've struggled against some bruisers this year.

Well it's probably thinking long term when he'll be needed as the bears will certainly be involved in the business end of the season.

People are saying he's 99% if not 100% though. Don't agree he should sit just because the giants are 3-8. He should play and get reps.

And Daniel throws a pick 6 just now on his first throw.

That's the kind of move teams make when they're taking opposition for granted, benching the qb because you don't respect them to keep him stowed for the important game down the road. And it's biting us in the arse now.

And if Daniels collapses now hooking him will do so so so so much damage to the dynamic of the team.

I'd like to see another Jackson pick 6 to make up for that opening. He's looking good to beat the bears record for pick sixes in a season, currently held by Tillman, and actually is on track to equal the league record. So...no pressure.

Not bad for a fourth round pick all the same.

Yeah just got in under the maximum age.

Daniel very lucky not to have two interceptions to his name now. Very worrying because the running game is doing nothing either.
