Professer Brian Cox will talk about science and his new tour.

Fr. Tony Coote will talk about his diagnosis with Motor Neuron disease.

Mario Rosenstock will be doing impressions and stuff, the usual when he's on.

Peter O'Mahony will talk about beating the All Blacks and how Ireland will be dead certs to win the World Cup next year, all aboard the hype train now.

Music will come from The Stunning, who will be performing the the Irish Chamber Orchestra and there will be a chance to win tickets to the Toy show next week.

Straight in with the oul misery.

    RTE presentation skills 101.

The LLS likes to rotate the illness roster every now and then and give a new illness like this an outing.

But they have Motor Neurone coming up later, a well known disease which everyone knows.

It's like Later ... with Jools Holland only with more deaths.

''When is it the most hellish?''

RTE One, Friday nights, 9.35 to 11.45pm.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,785 ✭✭✭KungPao

I wonder if there's another Friday night light entertainment show in the World that starts the show with some misery.

    ****ing hell, RTE.

Maybe some people see these segments as inspiration? Just a thought

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 74,322 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

    Genuine question...

Having never seen the Irish version of 'Googlebox', have the participants ever watched the LLS?

And do they give the same amount of praise that we boardsies do? :pac:

The Motor Neurone will be before bedtime of course. A disease with only one certain outcome. Had a close cousin who got it, never sick a day in her life, and within one year of having a foot drop she took her last breath, very peacefully. Have her cat now, hence I've become a Catmaniac.

    ****ing hell, RTE.

These people have been awarded carers of the year for amazing dedication and commitment so I think it merits a bit of coverage.

They studiously avoid RTE, it seems.

Will Peter Casey make a cameo as The Grinch and steal all the toys?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 161 ✭✭Singer73

Couldn’t he give the 10k and the toy show tickets to the careers?

RTE did a massive Lip Sync version of this for their Big Music Week a few years ago, which was actually quite good (especially when Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin struts down the corridor)

They don't do Big Music Week anymore, this video cost them a fortune.

Yeah they commented about it the night Peter Casey for taoiseach was on. All negative comments.

Might be. Musicians pay bugger all tax, so it'd be a good fit for him.

I think I said at the time, 'Why didn't RTE make a second video with Aoibhinn on her own?' :D

    Fapping up a storm

    Good times :)
