    Hi,

    I have 4 PIR sensors, 1 Contact Sensor. Would like to part these into 2. How can we do that? Also how can we arm only one part.

    Is there any video guide that go through all the keypad menus and usage? As an end user they give only the menu diagram, most of the option is hard to understand because there is no description.

    Thanks

    I am not sure what you mean part them into 2?

    What do you want the system to do for you?

    I want to set alarm only in some portion (Part Set) when I'm in home. ie I have 4 PIR and 1 Contact sensor. I want to activate Contact Sensor and 2 PIR when I'm in home. Thanks

    I part set my alarm via the app. Don't actually know what the keypad combo for a part set. Just do a full set via key pad when leaving house

    In engineer Menu apply attribute PGB or PGB to zone you want excluded in Part Guard A or Part Guard B.

    0#7 To Part Guard A

    0#8 To Part Guard B

    Ok, What I understand is
    In Engineer Menu -> Zone Option ->
    Each Zone I can see following options
    Engineer Menu -> Zone Option ->
    ->Inhibit Y
    ->Excl PSA N
    ->Excl PSB N
    ->Soak N
    ->Chime Y
    ->Rem Test Y

    Is the Excl PSA, Excl PSB option that you are talking?

    If so if I want to exclude a Zone from Part A I just have to enable Excl PSA Y in that zone isnt it? What about rest of the options in the list keep it as it is or do I need to change?

    Thanks.

    Its PGA & PGB . They should be set to YES to exclude that zone in the relevant part set.

    When you go into the zone options scroll and when you see Excl PSA N
    Excl PSB N, these are the part set options. If you press yes a Y will replace the N meaning in part set this zone is excluded from part set A-B.

    Thank you.

    Zone 1 Excl PSA N
    Zone 2 Excl PSA Y
    Zone 3 Excl PSA N
    Zone 4 Excl PSA Y
    Zone 5 Excl PSA N

    If this is the case and if we set PART SET A then only Zone 1, Zone 3, and Zone 5 are active. Zone 2 and 4 will not active, so that I can walk around these zones without triggering the alarm. am i right?

    What is the method to PART SET A or PART SET B

    There is 2 part sets which are activated by 0#7 PSA, 0#8 PSB.
    If you select the zones you want off and set up these for either part set then yes they are off once part set is set on the alarm.

    How? Also part set is instant set not like full set. Full set usually give 30 sec time to set and unset alarm.

    In engineer mode.
    Both have the option to turn it off.
    Disply arm yes or no.
    Display armed in partset yes or no.

    ok old post I know

    Got Hkc En 50131-3 and I know how to part guard at night time and also do full set

    However all windows armed upstairs. On a sunny day like today how can we part guard it but leave a fly window open if only out for a few hours

    In part set you can press 0#7, code, * zone number yes.

    If 2 zones needed bypassed, 0#7, code, * zone number * zone number yes.

    Please be aware that anything on the zone will be omitted once this bypass is set.

    Once you disarm the alarm then the zones will automatically be back into the system.

    Ok how do I find out what is what zone? So if i leave bathroom open set full alarm it will tell me open zone i.e Zone 2

    so in this case i would press 0#7 code a and then it asks for zone number and press 2?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,855 ✭✭✭✭altor

    If you don't have a zone list then the user walk test.

    0#3 on your keypad.

    Activate sensor and it will show the zone on the keypad.

    If zone 2.

    0#7, code, *, 2, yes

    Ok part set the Alarm and left windows upstairs open

    Left one window open in rooms and checked what zone it was and all of upstairs is one Zone no separate Zone for each room (3 bedrooms and one bathroom)

    So is there a way of separating each room into separate zone's. So if I want to leave bedroom window open I don't want to disarm the whole of upstairs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,855 ✭✭✭✭altor

    You would need to break them down into separate zones to do this

    Job for an alarm installer unless you are doing it yourself.

    It depends on the cable in place and also if you would have space on the control panel to accommodate the extra zones

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,785 ✭✭✭Irish Gunner

    Nah not going to DIY it just was looking at option

    At the moment its ok and working fine just thought i would ask the question so I know my options

    Cheers for the responses

    Just got hkc alarm installed, am i best to just full alarm when going to bed at night, in part set the hallway sensor is off so seems pointless as if somebody did get in, you would want that alarm before person gets to bedrooms no?

  • Moderators, Regional South East Moderators Posts: 9,074 Mod ✭✭✭✭Aquos76

    how do you plan on deactivating the alarm then in the morning then without setting off the full alarm?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,855 ✭✭✭✭altor

    If your planning on turning on the pir then you could set it up for entry/exit so if someone did gain access it goes into an entry and starts to make keypad beep before a entry alarm. Other than that a keypad in your room, keyfob or use the app for full set.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,746 ✭✭✭newhouse87

    Presume i can set it someway on part set a or b to have hallway sensor go off if somebody is walking down the hall. Is hallway sensor only meant to be on when we leave house?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,855 ✭✭✭✭altor

    Yes, in most cases the PIRs are only on when someone is not in the house or if they are not on the keypad route when turning alarm off.

    So do the above so zone upstairs inhibited. But as soon as I open the front door,different zone, alarm is triggered.

    How to get around this?
