Has anyone gotten around the need for a cert for insurance/practicing personal training with their degree? Having already spent years and a whole load of money on exercise education, I'm reluctant to fork over a few more grand and time on a personal training cert just for insurance purposes.

    Hi there,

I'm researching my options for personal training and insurance for such. I don't have a personal training cert. What I do have is a fitness instructor cert from many moon ago (NCEF) and recently obtained a level 8 BSc. in Strength and Conditioning.

You have a BSc in Strength and Conditioning. This will be acceptable to any insurance company I can think of to get you covered for personal training.

Most of them will accept level 4 upwards I think but to be honest a weekend course would probably satisfy the criteria to get somebody insured

So its a lot less complicated than I thought, we'll take that anyday. Thanks a lot for the response.
