I think I might have undiagnosed autism as an adult. For an adult who suspects they might have undiagnosed autism what is involved with getting an assessment do I just go to any doctor or is their certain doctors or psycholists that specialise at assessing people who suspect that they have Autism?

Medical diagnoses are not permitted on the forum, OP.

As you have pointed out yourself, you need to speak to a doctor for medical advice. As for which kind of doctor, your GP will be able to refer you to a more specialised medical professional if it is warranted. I would encourage you to speak to your GP and let her/him decide if it needs to be investigated.
