Your favourite rep scheme?

    Hey Everyone,

I have just checked another question about Pyramids, and it made me think. I am really interested what kind of rep schemes do others follow. I personally never go above 10 reps in a set and most of the times I stay around 5, and I do just enough sets to get a volume done suitable for strength and mass gains (20-30).

What are you No. 1 choices and why?

    Thanks!

High reps for insta and 5*5 for snapchat :pac:

It obviously completely depends on your goals what rep scheme you use.
When I switch from lower volumes to higher volumes, mentally I sometimes think "thank god, back to lighter weights now for a break", but then halfway through the set think "jesus I have to do 5 more of these, why can't I got back to heavy triples!" :D

    In all seriousness: it depends.

What’s your goal? How strong are you?

Even then it depends on the exercise. In the same workout I could do heavy singles for deadlift and 2x20 for calf raises. Calf raises are all about vanity :)

That is EXACTLY how I think too.

Anything over 5 reps heavier than 70% should be outlawed. Seriously.
