SIM need to port to Three, which one?

I need a "new" number to switch to Three to avail of a discounted phone and seem to recall a friend getting a Tesco SIM and using this. Anyone know if I can just pick one up in any Tesco and how much they cost? Any other options where I can just walk in and get one? Are there any networks that Three won't move a number…
