Getting messages from iPhone to Android device?

Any way to do this at all? I know 2 different OS but there seems to be a lot of companies will to sell their app to do it.
Is this is only way or is there an idiots guide?, TIA

SMS Backup and Restore is a fantastic app.
Been using it for years now in Android.
Never had to import from Apple though. Has always been Android to Android.

Strange, hopefully your not trying to transfer to a tablet, that doesn't have a sim?

What android phone/rom have you got?
