People can have had bad experiences with criminal elements but it doesn't turn them into generalising hate filled voters.
They (the educated ones anyway) can tell when they are being manipulated by an ego driven self publicist.

That is assuming that those voting for him think that he has/will the power/ability to effect change. I'd imagine many will vote for him just to raise the issue of the welfare state or whatever they think it is he stands for. Perhaps even more so as Higgins will win in landslide anyhow.

Make no mistake if Casey gets votes the beady eyes in Leinster House will be watching and I believe many people are banking on that.

In 2007 Travellers were
recognized as an athnic minority which Casey now admits he was not aware of at the time of his derogatory remarks towards them. What he said about them was a racial slur ie he passed antagonist remarks towards them. He also generalized about the Travellers stating they all camp on other people's land and do not pay their fair share of taxes, this is pure drive.He also passed remarks on people on Social Welfare stating that they demand that the state look after them, to which Regina Doherty (of which I am no fan of) said it was utter ignorance. Basically what this man is, is a pathetic buffoon who is a also a Trumpesque type character ie he is wealthy, wants to be the President and gets off on insulting ethnic minorities and people less fortunate than himself. Again I say thankfully he will not be ending up on the Aras bar a miracle.

Call me cynical but I doubt Francie cares very much about travellers - He's under orders from Shinnerbot central command to try and shore up Me Riada's votes.

And you will get settled people who live in middens and others who keep their places spotless.

These are more issues that can be sorted out with proper enforcement.
