Hi all, looking for some advice. Myself and my husband have been trying to conceive for almost 2 years, I had surgery last August and got cysts removed from ovaries and OH got semen analysis done and we were told all was fine.
We had a miscarriage in Nov 2011 and I went on conception but on nothing since June 2013, I keep been told im just anxious. My main question is can I be referred by my own GP for treatment or test to a public maternity hospital as we are not in a financial position to go private. I am based in Dundalk, was anyone referred to Rotunda public that is not from Dublin area and was the waiting list long. We are both 32 so really wanna start ASAP.

    Sorry about the long post.

Yes, you can get your GP to refer you to wherever you want to go. Public waiting lists are pretty crazy I think(1year+) . I know someone who went the public route with the rotunda a few years ago, and once she got into the system the tests etc were done pretty quickly.
